  1. Don't get me wrong, I thought hiring Meyer was a dumb move on the part of Jacksonville. I am not a fan of hiring college coaches for NFL teams, especially when they come from big programs where he main path to success is recruiting well. But they had a bad team last year, and added a rookie qb this year. They would likely be 0-4 regardless of who the coach is.
  2. Ever? If you are referring to a coach going down the toilet fast maybe. But overall disaster for a team, I am not sure this cracks the top 25, especially if you take into account non NFL sports.
  3. The last time we played them was when we came back from the big deficit. That was 2018 I think. And probably our last really memorable dramatic win with Cam.
  4. Dallas has a very good passing attack as well. Dak has turned in to one of the better qb's in the league. If not for that, their run game wouldn't be anywhere near as potent. Its not the power rushing that makes them a threat, its the combination of power rushing and potent pass attack.
  5. If I were a Jacksonville fan, I wouldn't really care about this. Hot young women flirting with wealth famous older men is not exactly shocking. Its between him and his wife. I would be much more concerned with the performance on the field.
  6. Its the NFL, there are very few sure things.
  7. I completely disagree. Dallas has one of the most balanced and best offenses in the league. I thought they would put up at least 30 against us, and they went slightly higher than. Dallas's struggles are on defense. Their run defense was not good yesterday and Chuba had a relatively good day, but we didn't or couldn't take full advantage of it as we got to far behind. Their pass defense is certainly improved over last year, but our protection/pass blocking is not good.
  8. For some reason, coaches tend not to sub out offensive linemen. And not just our coaches, but most coaches don't. I have wondered why. I suppose continuity is part of it, but it does seem that it might be a good idea to bring in fresh players at times.
  9. I believe its a learning experience. They are still very young, and games like this occasionally happen even to veteran good defenses. Personally, I am not that worried about this specific game. But if we follow it up with another loss next week, that will be a concern.
  10. Its got to be more than that. Dallas didn't really do that much differently on the offensive side. Is our staff too analytical, when there should more attempts at getting them fired up? Do they go in at half and take a few bong hits?
  11. You guys are the champions of early season again. Only 3-4 weeks until Nov, when you guys can start talking about how good you will be next year.
  12. Well, that is probably ball game. Kind of a continuation of last season, where we play well in the first half and come out cold in the third quarter. Got to get better coming out of halftime.
  13. They are playing one of the best offenses in the league. Tampa couldn't stop them and they had the best defense in the league last year. But we are going to making some plays.
  14. Wonder why we would run two high safety on first down against a team that runs the ball as well as the Cowgals do?
  15. Me to, but at some point we will have to show we can win a game in the 4th qtr.
  16. One of the things we have yet to do is show that we can make big plays during crunch time that will win the game. Maybe a little against the Jets with CMC getting a big run to cinch the game, but generally speaking, we have controlled all three games from start to finish. Last year, we lost a lot of close games, and at some point, we will need to prove we can win them. While I hope we win easily, it will be interesting to see what happens if the game is close with 2 minutes left and we need to make plays.
  17. Have to admit that I have only seen a few of them, but I liked all six. Band of Brothers was the best. Game of Thrones John Adams. The rest in no particular order. The Pacific Rome Chernobyl
  18. His run vs the Eagles might be the greatest relatively short run that took a minute and a half in Panthers history.
  19. We still run the ball a lot. We are top ten in the league in rushing attempts. Although part of that is probably due to having leads in the fourth qtr and trying to run out the clock, particularly in the Saints game.
