  1. In some ways, 2005 might have been the best job coaching we ever saw from a Panthers staff. We had an offense that had one great receiver (Smith) one guy who was old and slow, but clutch (Proehl), a slightly above average running back in Foster, and another running back who could always get a tough yards 1 or 2 yards, but little more than that in Stephen Davis. The defense was not dominant, but could play well and forced a lot of opportune turnovers. And with that, we made it to the NFC championship game.
  2. Never really thought of Eli as elite. He was good, but the SB wins were mostly due to great defense. Ironically, Joe Flacco and Aaron Rodgers have the same number of SB rings.
  3. Seems things are getting a little better on the auto front. My wife's car got totaled a couple of weeks ago. Decided to get her a new Rav4, and it arrived today.
  4. Del Rio was good, no doubt about it. But it helped that he had a good helping of talent, especially in the front 7. Best defensive line we ever had with Peppers, Rucker in his Prime, Jenkins healthy, and Buckner. And the linebackers were great, with Morgan and Fields (before injuries and cancer took their toll).
  5. Yeah, glad he got a ring, but he didn't actually play . Glad to see Bates get an interception, although it didn't matter in the end.
  6. They are always going to give it to an offensive player, but Aaron Donald was the MVP, hands down. He forced the Bengals to adjust their offensive strategy, and then made the play of the game to seal the win. Without him, I think the Bengals score on that last drive, and maybe even put it in the end zone.
  7. I think he definitely improved as a passer. In fact, in 2015, he was one of the best at the deep ball. He never got that great at hitting the short and medium range receivers crossing the field in stride. Probably his only passing weakness, at least until the injury damaged his arm.
  8. Sanchez was never that good, just had a good defense. Marino comparison could be valid, but you never can tell. They definitely need to upgrade the Oline though. Maybe we can convince them to trade with us. Top ten oline pick and they give us their first and second.
  9. Or at very least lined up under center, to give the illusion they might run.
  10. Well, that is ball game. And AD should be MVP.
  11. Plenty of time. Tom Brady and Pat Mahomes could score twice in this amount of time.
  12. That one was obvious. Very bad play on Apple. Tempted to say that the Bengals should just let them score now.
  13. I don't know how this years class will do, but how a draft class will do is something we can't tell until they actually start playing on Sundays. All I heard was how great last year's class was, and so far, the only ones that looked decent are Mac Jones and Davis Mills. The rest of them may get better eventually, or maybe they won't. But I don't agree with writing off next year's class until they show what they can do on the field.
  14. In fairness, the Rams have a pretty good defensive line, and the Bengals haven't been terrible against them, at least until the last 10 minutes or so.
  15. This game has turned into a defensive battle. Bengals defense might have to hold the lead for the rest of the game.
  16. Did they just say Mcvay was out of weapons. Is Cooper out?
  17. Seems like the Rams are mixing up their pass rushing a little better now. Bengals will need to adjust.
  18. And because the Rams haven't been able to run the ball at all, and without Beckham, their passing game is not as good.
  19. I doubt Bengals fans care about us one way or the other. I don't actually know any Bengal fans. But they might laugh at Steeler fans.
  20. Bengals defense has a little to do with that.
  21. Rams can't run the ball a lick. They are going to have to find a way to get Kupp open
  22. I agree, so far its been one of the more interesting recent Superbowls.
  23. Bengals defense and Rams mistakes have been the story of the game so far. And the injury to Odell.
