I didn't know that, so I guess it makes some sense. Five turnovers for Lawrence though, that is bad even with the weather.
-
Trevor Lawrence with his fifth turnover, and Eagles win anyway.
-
I am only reading the drive play by play and it might be wrong, but it seems that the Eagles coach just made a stupid a$$ call. 4th and 3 on the Jags 21 yard line with an 8 point lead, and they go for it instead of kicking the fg? Fg gives them a two score lead with less than two minutes left.
-
And they win. They could be tied first place if Tampa loses to the Chiefs.
-
Atlanta with a shot to beat Cleveland even though their passing game has been terrible.
-
Fwiw, when I mentioned Brady, I was mainly referring to his time with the Patriots. Gronk was good, but generally speaking, their wide receiver/running back group over his last few years with the Pats didn't impress me that much. I think Brady made some average guys look better than they were. Although I do think the Patriots did a good job putting together a team that was better than the sum of its parts.
-
A great qb can compensate for some of that. Tom Brady did for years. But the team would have to be very very wise with the few assets and draft it did have.
-
Their defense is playing ok against a good Eagles offense. But two critical turnovers are hurting them.
-
You might be right.
-
Bradberry picked off Lawrence.
-
Meh, it was good play for the defender and then the other defender was in the right place at the right time. Probably not a good decision to throw though. Steve Smith might have come down with it, but the average NFL receiver would not.
-
Its early in the season, but Hurts certainly seems to be improving and learning how to be an NFL QB.
-
Eagles spotted Jacksonville 14 and have now scored 20 consecutive points.
-
Terrible call in the Eagles game. Receiver got pegged for blocking before the Pass was thrown. Looked to me like he started while the pass was in the air. Didn't matter as the Eagles got a td later, but still not sure what the ref was looking at.

Aaron Wilson: Tepper's patience with Rhule growing thin
Davidson Deac II replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think if we have another 4 or 5 win season, Rhule is gone. In my opinion, that is a given. The question though is what happens if we win 7 or 8 or even 9. Would that be enough to get Rhule another year? -

Fwiw, I wouldn't be surprised to see Tepper go after Harbaugh. I don't want him to, but it wouldn't surprise me. -

One of the problems with sports media, to many people who really have no clue as to what is going on, have a take on it. My guess is this one is far closer to the truth. Three years is about the norm for a coach who doesn't win. -
Don't know if I agree. I certainly think Teddy is probably as good as Nick Foles, and he won a Superbowl with a great supporting cast. I am not sure the Dolphins have enough talent to win with Teddy. And we certainly didn't.

With the exception of a few teams, it seems that scoring is down across the board this year. This game is kind of boring.

Weather might play a major factor Sundy
Davidson Deac II replied to ENC Pantherfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It appears the worst of the rain might be over by Sunday at four. Personally, I hope it's too windy for much of a passing game. -
Should Shenault get more playing time?
Davidson Deac II replied to YourLastThought's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fwiw, I think Ian has played ok that last couple of weeks. Given how little we throw the ball, the three catches are decent. And his blocking has held up well. -
54 possessions a game would be the most dominant offense in the history of the NFL. Or the worst defense in the history of the NFL.
