  1. Build a new stadium in Charlotte out of my own pocket. Put in express train from outlying areas. Ensure the team has to stay for 30 years, and then sell it after a couple of seasons, because by then I will be tired of dealing with whiney fans.
  2. I am not disagreeing with you, but one of the problems with stats is that they can be misleading. The Yard totals can be misleading, as can the points allowed. For example, if an offense gets the ball at the 25, goes backwards, then punts from the 15, the opposing offense is already starting with a significant advantage. If they score, the yardage total might be less than a normal drive, but the points will still be scored. And the score would be at least partially on the offense. IMO, I think the defense played well enough to keep us in some games we might not have been in otherwise. But when we played a team with a balanced offense (Dallas, Miami, etc...) we struggled a lot. Our defense wasn't good, but I thought given the huge numbers of injuries (at one point more than any team in the NFL), they were better than they should have been. Our defense played well enough in several games that even an average offensive performance would have given us a victory. But they certainly weren't the 85 Bears, or even close to it.
  3. I disagree, we certainly got stops in the 4th qtr when we still had a chance to win the game. In the Vikings game, down by 8, defense gets a 3 and out, offense goes on a 15 play drive that ends with a sack and turnover on downs. Texans game, defense didn't allow a single score in the 4th qtr, and we won on a last second fg. Colts game, defense didn't allow a single offensive td. We were down 20-10, defense shut them down cold, offense throws a pick 6, game over. Bears game, defense didn't allow a single 4th qtr score, but the offense did nothing, so we lost by 3. Tn game, defense didn't allow a second half score at all, but with no offensive production, we lost by a single td. Those are just some of the games where the defense got needed stops, but the offense usually couldn't take advantage.
  4. How is it the hardest? In the old days, you pretty much had to go undefeated to be voted as the mythical championship.
  5. I agree. He needs help from a qb that can actually throw the ball consistently well.
  6. We will give him another year. Almost have to. And if it doesn't work out, then we should have another high pick the following year.
  7. It's not so much that they don't work out for the next guy as it is that poor play caused the original guy to be fired. That being said, given that Bryce is one year in and a first round pick, he will almost definitely have a shot to make it.
  8. Terrible throw by Tua on that last past. They now get a trip to beautiful KC in Jan.
  9. It's everything. No offense can be this bad without it being a team effort
  10. It's ashamed that Horne can't stay healthy, he is very good, when on the field.
  11. Or they really want Cam meeting with Harris Teeter about the new fan program, or in charge of the group that arranges flight schedules and such.
  12. I am not as down on Bryce as some. Imo, he looks no worse than Lawrence and some other qb's who eventually had success. I also don't blame the organization for the trade, but I said at the time that there was at best, a 50/50 chance it would work. But I still don't blame them for taking the risk. And if Bryce shows by the end of next year that he is not a NFL qb, we can try it again in 2025.
  13. Or you need to be the head coach of the Steelers or Ravens.
  14. He surrounded them with a lot of good players, which is why it worked. You can win without a great QB, just need a lot of other talented players.
  15. I would be shocked. Why would someone his age want to come to a team as bad as ours?
  16. Maybe he can be Teppers bartender, to avoid alcohol abuse.
  17. I never knew anyone in NC that was a Falcons fan. Washington, Pittsburgh or the Cowgals dominated. And an occasional Forty Niner or Raider fan.
  18. I think he had a decent year all things considered. Our problem was that we had to rely to much on him and Theilen. Thielen is a solid Ricky Proehl style receiver, while Mingo shows some promise. Neither is a game breaker though.
  19. His draft picks and moves have mostly make us worse. He cannot remain in the same position.
  20. When have the owners denied it move? If the Panthers don't move, it's because potetial locations cannot support a team as well as Charlotte can
  21. didn't know that, but it does suck if so. I do think all this boycott/petition crap is ridiculous. If you don't want to go, then don't go. Tepper wants to field a winning team. He just isn't very good at it. But he isn't going to sell the team, nor is the NFL going to force him out. So we just have to hope that either he gets better, or he gets lucky (ala Robert Kraft).
  22. Well, it does hurt the concession sales. Doesn't really hurt Tepper much (if at all), but the guys who sell food and other items do struggle.
  23. Its a little better, but not significantly so. They allow 4 ypc, we allow 4.1. Both teams tend to give up some long gains between the twenties. But their red zone defense is better than ours. IMO, if their backup plays poorly, we have a shot. If he plays fairly well, its another long Sunday for us.
