OFFiCIAL Panthers vs Cardinals GameDay thread
Davidson Deac II replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fwiw, I am not that concerned about whether we win or lose today. I am just glad to see the Offense bounce back and play well (and not turn the ball over) after last weeks crapfest. The run defense is just bad. -

I never want to see anyone injured. But if someone on Arizona has to get injured, i would rather it be Conner. -

Bryce has 4 times as many rushing yards as Murray. -

I was thinking of Leggette's speed, size, and youth with better hands. -

Penix is playing terrible today. But Drew Locke has two pick 6's. Atlanta is still not good, although they certainly will be favored to beat us. -

Boy that was a risky throw by Young. -

If Legette could become 80% of what Thielen is in terms of catching the ball, he would be great. -

Iffy penalty on the Cardinals, but we made them pay for it. -
Need to be broken up actually.

No team that lost to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma should even be mentioned for the playoff.
-
Won't help them any. They will still have to many teams in a single league.
-
There are a couple of different morals. 1. Being blown out doesn't mean that a team didn't belong. Just means they had a bad day. 2. Homefield is a huge advantage. 3. QB play is almost as important in college as it is in the NFL. Only one game was close, because both teams in that game had solid qb play.
-
I think that eventually, combining all these powerhouse teams in a couple of conferences will be detrimental to them.
-
They barely beat Matt Rhule and company.
-
Only one somewhat close game so far, Clemson and Texas. An inauspicious start for the new format. And despite all the whining from SEC fans, its likely that only the top two schools belonged.
-
I wonder if those saying SMU and Indiana didn't belong will also say that Tennessee didn't belong?
-
The Texans offense is not good. And with Dell likely being out for a while, it might get worse.
-
And yet, if they had better qb play, and maybe 2 better offensive linemen, the game would have been much closer. The IU quarterback didn't have a lot of time to thrown, and when he did, he missed several open receivers. Hit a few of those open receivers, get a little more time to throw, and the game is vastly different.
-
I want to see us throwing to Sanders more. He was impressive in a few games before his injury.
-
They also want people to watch. Not as many people are going to watch if they just load it up with SEC team.
-
Indiana's qb has missed several wide open receivers. They can't pass the ball at all.
-
I am not sure Bill will be better than a lot of college coaches. But I do think he will bring a lot of attention and probably get some very good players recruiting wise and in the portal.
-
I looked it up and the local affiliates are required to show away games if they are considered in the regional market (as greensboro is). They are not required to show the home games.
-
Fwiw, they haven't gotten rid of the blackout policy. But they suspend it each year. Which is a fairly silly way to do it. I do think though that the NFL has some deal with the networks or some kind of arrangement to show the local teams. If they didn't, we would always see Cowboy/Green Bay/Steeler games.

How did they mess up so bad with Mayfield and Darnold,
Davidson Deac II replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
In fairness, Darnold had decent success with us after Rhule left. The offensive line was competent, the run game worked some. But both decided to go their separate ways after that season was over. Baker's failure was all Rhule.
