Tua looks great at times, but he also makes some very questionable throws. If the Steeler db's could catch the ball, this game would look quite a bit different.

Tua should have had that pass picked. Got a little lucky, but he is playing well so far. Pickett got off to a rough start when his receiver fell down but recovered nicely.

That was my point though. Keenum has a season at Minnesota were he completed 68%, threw 22 tds against only 7 interceptions. But the next season, his numbers dropped significantly. Geno would have to keep it up for more than one season to convince me to take him over wilson.

I think the question regarding Geno is, will he keep it up, or is he a one season wonder, ala Foles or Case Keenum?

That was a great throw by Pickett and an even better catch.

Tua missed the receiver on second down, then had a drop on third down. Ken Dorsey would have destroyed an Ipad on that series.

Don't often say this, but Pickett's interception was 99% the fault of the receiver.

I think the receivers sometimes get to much heat this year. I just don't think our passers have been good enough. Take the TD pass to DJ for example. DJ wasn't open by much, but Walker took a chance and made a great throw, and DJ caught it. I am not sure Baker would have even attempted that throw.

If his team continues to win, he will definitely be in the discussion. Although I think at this point, it would go to Mahomes/Allen/Hurts.

Got to have the talent around them, the right coach, and the right qb.

If we want a QB, I am not sure the Texans would take one. Mills lit the Raiders up today. Unfortunately, he has a really crappy team around him.

I would love to have the number one pick next year. But we probably have to much talent to get it on our own. We are better than several NFL teams. And it would be absurd to rip the team apart to ensure we get it.

Fwiw, I think the forty niners have done a better job today of utilizing CMC than we did. They used him in spots, or as a distraction. But Garoppolo's bad int when they could have had 7 or at least 3 points hurt.

That hit on Garapalo would have been a rp if it was against Brady.

Well, I am not sure they would have both been in this draft class, it wasn't confirmed whether it was two this year, or one and one next year. But just saying I would be tempted, not that I would actually pull the trigger.

I have to admit if I were the GM, two first for Burns would be very tempting. Especially given that he is going to cost us a lot of money before much longer. But I understand the arguments for keeping him.

No worries. And it probably is splitting hairs, but I don't think KC, Buffalo, or SD intentionally tanked. They just let the chips fall so to speak. IMO, there is so much luck involved in getting a elite qb, that it really isn't worth trying to jockey for a top five pick just so you can have a 1 in 4 or 5 shot at getting an elite qb. But if we do end up with a top five pick, I will keep my fingers crossed that he turns into the next Mahomes.
