  1. Well, it just got a little more likely. Brady picked off.
  2. Wonder when Brady was last shut out. I don't think it will happen, especially when they get to four down territory, but its getting very close.
  3. Why do people keep saying Trevor Lawrence is a franchise quarterback? He MIGHT be one eventually, but he certainly hasn't proven it yet.
  4. Personally, even though I don't believe Cam's arm is close to what it once way, I am ok with keeping him for another year while we draft a qb and spend next year's other picks and free agent acquisitions rebuilding the oline. Cam can be a bridge to our next qb.
  5. I agree. His short game is ok, and he can still run the ball. But his arm is every bit as weak as it was when we cut him. He just can't consistently throw it more than 15 or more yards with accuracy and hasn't been able to for a while.
  6. Was it? In theory, we still had a shot to win the game with a td and a onside kick recovery. It was fourth down. Kicking a field goal there buys them nothing. Might as well try to throw it and get the first down which ends the game. I am sure the TD was just a bonus.
  7. I honestly thought he meant Darnold. CMC has played so little for us the last two years, don't really think about him anymore. But yeah, Abdullah is playing the CMC role.
  8. DJ, Zylstra, and Robbie are having very good games today. If we could throw the ball more than 10-15 yards, they would both be approaching a hundred.
  9. Our receivers have been open and playing well a good portion of the game, but bad throws and poor protection mean we can't get it to them beyond 10 or 15 yards. Our best pass play is throw it short and hope they run well.
  10. Smart play would be to use the first and five to go deep. For us, its a two yard run up the middle.
  11. Announcers talking about Game of Thrones got me to thinking. Which is worse, GOT ending or the Panthers in December?
  12. Don't care about the draft pick, the whole tanking thing is rarely successful. It failed for the Jets last year, might have failed for Jacksonville, and it failed for the Falcons. But losing out improves our chances of getting rid of Rhule. That would be the best thing about it.
  13. If we were in the middle of a playoff race, I would care. Since we are not, throw caution to the wind, go for two if we luck up and get a td, and just go for it on 4th down if we are in fg range.
  14. People tend to read to much into these twitter comments. For all we know, could just mean a new restaurant she likes opened.
  15. Don't know if that was the play call or qb decision, but throwing the deep ball there was foolish.
  16. I would have tried to run the ball at least once there, in the hopes that the Chargers would forget to call a timeout
  17. I watched him win a Superbowl with Ken the Snake Stabler as his qb.
  18. Its amazing how inept both of these otherwise good offenses have looked inside the red zone tonight.
  19. Pete Carroll had significant NFL experience, including being head coach in New England prior to taking the Seattle job. You are correct about Switzer, didn't think about him.
  20. 90% of coaching hires in the NFL end up failures. That number probably increases to 98% when it comes to college coaches with little or no NFL experience. In fact, the only truly successful one (winning Superbowls) I remember is Jimmy Johnson.
