  1. After he spun around and it also hit the defenders hands.
  2. Regarding DJ's drop, that was all on Darnold. He threw it behind DJ, and almost into the arms of the defender. Lucky it wasn't picked off.
  3. Yeah, if you watch him, his interceptions mostly come when he has time to throw.
  4. Haven't forgotten anything. Bridgewater is a average, and maybe below average qb. He would be a good backup for a Superbowl contender But Sam Darnold is not an NFL qb.
  5. I agree that the odds are less than 50%, but I think the odds are less than 50% for almost any class. I think the odds are less than 50% overall for last year's class. In fact, if you look at it realistically, there are may 10-15 solid qb's in the NFL right now. And probably 3 or so are drafted in the first round every year. So it would seem that well over 50% of qb's drafted in the first round don't succeed.
  6. I think the Aints will kick at least three more field goals. Only way we win is if Hill throws a couple of picks.
  7. I know that our offensive line is bad, but dam we seem to get the ball out of the qb's hands slower than just about any team in the NFL.
  8. If by trust, you mean you feel that the player is a sure fire NFL success, then there is no college qb ever that I trusted. To many examples of sure fire hits that ended up failing for me to trust them. Until they prove otherwise, this year's batch has the same chance of success as last year's.
  9. If you are talking about some guy we might pick up in the fourth round, you might be right. A first round pick though, any new hire would be hesitant to get rid of him. Of course, I still have hope that Rhule is gone after 9 Jan.
  10. I haven't seen good coaches give them a try. I mean Arians tried Jameis for a year, Bill B stuck with Bledsoe for a while until he got lucky with a sixth round pick. I think a good coach is going to give all existing players a chance and a assessment before he moves to the next guy. Might be a little quicker to pull the trigger on a cut perhaps.
  11. So Harbaugh says he has no interest, but the first post is that we could get him? He might eventually come back to the NFL, but I don't think he would come here now. He would want a situation where they have a established qb and a solid framework. At least I would if I were him.
  12. I don't know if I buy the Volatile culture bit. Or that Rhule has lost the locker room. But losing tends to breed hostility, and we have been losing a lot, so its not surprising that stories like this will pop up.
  13. I hope and pray we don't hire a new coach that thinks like that. Otherwise, we won't be any better off than we are with Rhule.
  14. The ironic part of this is that if we really had a slow methodical process, it might have worked. But we tried to jump it by signing Bridgewater, then with the absurd Darnold trade, and its made things worse.
  15. UNC's offense scored more in 1 game than we have in the last 3-4 I think. They looked off today for some reason. I am not sure we should draft Howell, but I certainly wouldn't judge him based on one game.
  16. If we improve the line, but keep Sam, then it won't matter. Most of Darnold's interceptions are just bad decisions on his part, made when he has more time. If there is a qb available with our first round pick that we think will be good, then we take him. If we have to let him sit a year while we improve the offensive line, so be it. But qb is the most critical position on the field, bar none. And very few draft picks turn into good qb's. Not that I trust this staff to do an assessment or develop a qb.
  17. As far as the individual qb's, don't know. As far as the class overall, the experts and the huddle members say its bad, and they are usually wrong, so it will probably be a good class overall.
  18. Saban realized he couldn't coach at the NFL level and abandoned ship. Hopefully, Rhule will do the same.
  19. Cam is done, and Sam was done before he ever signed with us.
  20. It was college all stars vs the NFL champs. I vaguely remember watching the last one. Steelers dominated. And yeah, as the years went by and the NFL got closer to what it is today, they began to dominate more and more.
  21. A great college coach who failed in the NFL because he couldn't deal with grown men. And a bunch of grown men who were stars in college game. Alabama would be lucky to score even three points.
  22. With ease. Its grown men versus 19/20 year old kids. In fact, I would be shocked if Alabama even scored.
  23. Saints have a great defense and a shot at the playoffs. We have a terrible offense that gets shut down by below average defenses. I would be shocked if we win. I will be shocked if we get in the end zone even once.
