  1. We may still trade for Baker. They made a huge mistake last year putting all the eggs in a basket named Darnold, may try to double dip in order to avoid that mistake this year.
  2. You are right, but in fairness, Brady does skew the results a little.
  3. Because projections about NFL potential are never wrong? Fwiw, they are wrong more often than they are right. All that matters once the draft is over is how they perform on the field.
  4. How do you know? I mean they haven't played a down. Last year's class was overrated, this year might be underrated.
  5. I could see Tampa taking him and letting him sit a year behind Brady.
  6. Fwiw, NFL staffs are wrong more often than they are right when it comes to qb's.
  7. He will have more time to throw interceptions now.
  8. I find all this draft value stuff baffling. Draft value is only known a couple of years after the draft is over. If he turns out to be a good quarterback, I won't give a crap where we draft him.
  9. I will be ok with it as long as the qb or other player we pick is actually really good.
  10. I am done with this team if they take some guy I don't like. Not really, but I am just getting in the spirit.
  11. Fair point. I should have said, it will give people something different to whine about.
  12. I have to admit I will be glad when the draft is over so everyone can stop speculating and start whining.
  13. Can't do that, his toes are too short.
  14. If he is looking for safe, might want to go with another profession. If it is a fear thing, then he is going to have to overcome it. I doubt he will, but we will see. But if it's simply a "he makes bad decisions" problem, the greatest oline in history won't be able to help him.
  15. I have my doubts that the offensive line will matter much. If you take a look at most of his picks last year, they happened when he had time, he just made terrible decisions. At times, it seemed he played better under duress.
  16. Addison is definitely a player, and they also used their tight end a lot. I just wouldn't say that Pitt's all around talent is "great". And Addison didn't just show up last year. He played in 2020 as well. Could be that the coaching staff utilized what they had in a better way. And that doesn't mean Pickett will be a good or bad NFL qb, just means he had a better coaching staff last year. Much like Burrow in his last year at Ohio State.
  17. Have no idea if Pickett will be a good NFL qb, but I definitely don't agree with this. Pitt's perimeter talent was certainly not great. IMO, both Wake and Clemson had more talent in that regard.
  18. I don't have sympathy for Dave Tepper, but I do think its ludicrous to blame him if the City agreed to something but wasn't able to follow thru. Of course, that is a big if, as I haven't been paying much attention to this saga. Of course, if they did make an agreement and didn't follow thru, one could argue that they shouldn't have made the agreement in the first place, but that is on them, not Tepper.
  19. Any one of these guys could be. Of course, the odds are against it. I think Malik Willis probably has the physical skills as far as arm strength and accuracy and mobility. But perhaps more than any other position, QB is a crap shoot. I think we should take a chance on whomever we think has the best shot at making it as an NFL qb. Of course, I thought we should have taken a chance last year on Fields or the other guy, instead of throwing draft picks and cash away on Darnold.
  20. Glad there aren't any generational talents. Most qb's that are called generational talents end up not being as good as advertised.
  21. Wilson has largely been keeping the Seahawks afloat and barely relevant. I doubt Mayfield can do that. The Aints would be a better choice for Mayfield assuming they want and can afford him.
