  1. When I listen to Tepper talk, I get the impression that it doesn't matter what anyone says within the organization unless Tepper agrees. At the Press conference after the Reich firing, He more or less said it. "Tepper took ownership of every decision that was made and says he could’ve overruled any vote from the coaches and scouts." So Yes man or not, his vote or say only works if Tepper agrees with it. You can say no all you want and Tepper will just overrule you.

  3. Dan Morgan hired at President of Football Operations / General Manager
  4. I would think that internal interviews would be announced when interviews take place. These lists they are releasing are request to other teams. No need to request to interview internally
  5. I am sure they will ask for more permissions for coach and GM and who knows who will actually interview but the list is compiled quickly. Maybe the recently hired group worked quickly or do you think these are the names Tepper came up with himself?
  6. Well, they have also posted a list of GM Candidates: CHARLOTTE — The Panthers have begun the process of finding their next general manager by requesting permission to interview eight candidates so far. On Monday, the team requested permission to interview the following: — Giants assistant GM Brandon Brown — Buccaneers assistant GM Mike Greenberg — Chiefs vice president of football operations Brandt Tilis. — Eagles assistant GM Alec Halaby — Saints assistant GM Khai Harley — Ravens vice president of football administration Nick Matteo — Colts assistant GM Ed Dodds — Raiders interim GM Champ Kelly https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-general-manager-search-update-2024?fbclid=IwAR2LohyoQxDN84O55DYq11dlmIjQssx9nzZd6XaPY1r_S41PFTgYgPc_zCg
  7. They put out the list themselves CHARLOTTE — The Panthers have submitted a list of requests for interviews with nine coaching candidates so far on Monday. The Panthers have requested permission to interview the following coaches: — Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson — Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik — Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan — Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn — Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald — Dolphins offensive coordinator Frank Smith — Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris — Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken — Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-coaching-search-update-2024?fbclid=IwAR35Mf2HcwBx0DgHW2kIrom6KiZ7Jmmvucm6Xcc4ozAcWnHghIIVwFxYDdE
  8. I am not too confident in this firm. I take it that the firm is called Sportsology from what Florio quoted Joe Persons. A quick review of this company shows most of these guys are English Soccer League executives who started this business 10 years ago. They show they have worked for the 49ers and Eagles, but do not say to what extent or capacity that I can find. I will believe the results when I see them https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/david-teppers-panthers-will-use-sportsology-for-both-g-m-coaching-search group https://sportsologygroup.com/
  9. If you want to see the entire video, this is the woman who filmed it. It is in the instagram story. You just click the profile photo to see it for those unaware of how to find it. I wish it had sound. https://www.instagram.com/c_honsberger/?hl=en
  10. McVay got that money in an extension after he went to 2 super bowls. https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2022/12/06/rams-sean-mcvay-contract-salary-ranking-highest-paid/#:~:text=According to Sportico%2C McVay makes, more per year than McVay.
  11. hahaha, Shows you how much I don't care if he is the coach when I get his name wrong. 15 mil is ridiculous for an unproven coach. Even coaches with extensions after winning Super Bowls are lower than that.
  12. I think the guy is making a big deal about the 15mil because Tepper annoyed the other owners by giving Rhule the contract he did. So if 15 mil is the price floated out there, where does that put him outside the vacuum of a fanbase viewing it as all that is important is wins? Well let us see what 15 mil buys you. How many coaches on these lists would you rather have than Brian Johnson at 15 mil, and you can get some of them at a discount if they were available!
  13. Win win-loss record says that Sam Darnold is a better QB than Justin Fields and that is sad. Sam Darnold as a starter Career is 28-38 on bad teams too. Justin Fields 9 -27 career win-loss record. The same Bears team are 5-6 when he doesn't play. So they are better when he is out of the lineup. I really don't think he will ever be a good QB. Great athlete but that isn't winning him games
  14. Many of the stories and reports all link back to this one press conference. First 30 seconds talks about Fitt overwhelming conviction for Bryce based on years of study. Reich talked about commitment to the process, then about hearing Fitt and the scouts' conviction in the meeting. Then Tepp steps up to give his views about Bryce, the trade, the expectations, etc... This is probably the most important press conference that reporters use in current stories.
  15. They have been successful at getting minority owners an NFL Team. Not sure if they influence the decisions, but could be. Haslam with the Browns, Tepper, and now Josh Harris buying the commanders.
  16. There is a military person on Staff. Brian Decker, former Green Beret labeled as GM for special forces. https://www.panthers.com/news/brian-decker-special-forces-staff-addition-vp-development-colts-green-beret
  17. The thing that is odd about that situation is that it really is a childish move. He bought the summer house of Corzine from the ex-wife of Corzine. If he truly had the brass balls he talked about being on his desk, why not buy Corzine's main house or run against him and beat him in politics? Tepper did neither. He just flashed his money and probably overpaid Corzine's wife for it. Then it is portrayed as some glorious victory over the man who slighted him
  18. It would be hard to say but the man who house Tepper bought is former NJ Governor and Senator Jon Corzine.
  19. Another most likely in contact with Johnson is Shawn Jefferson, WR coach. Jefferson was the WR coach in Miami 2016-2018 and the assistant WR Coach during that time was Ben Johnson. Johnson took over WR coach after Jefferson left Miami
  20. There is also this. Didn't see Pat M show, but if true then it is exactly what some have said. Want money, come in get the contract and get fired. Easy money. Want to win, stay away. https://larrybrownsports.com/football/chuck-pagano-carolina-panthers-job/624857?fbclid=IwAR2XCVLs9b68YjBkE7ovTUs7t55mna9ADMO_djY0jbVyGbhbeI_0RR7sMKY
  21. I agree with you. I think he does care but not in the way that most would assume. I do not think he cares about appeasing the masses. Instead, I believe that based on his past patterns of behavior, he will double down on himself to prove you are wrong about him. He has done it multiple times in the past then shoves it in the person's face that he was right. He would most likely do something totally opposite of what everyone in the world would tell him, step away from running the team. Unfortunately, I could see him firing Fitterer and naming himself GM to prove to everyone that he was not the problem. Poking the bear is probably not going to get the outcome we hope for.
  22. Here is more of how he uses his money for his revenge "If someone is an a**hole, like a waiter at a restaurant, I think, I could just buy this place and fire that guy.” https://www.businessinsider.com/david-teppers-revenge-2010-9
  23. Add to that the playbook being created by Thomas Brown prior to the draft and finished at the beginning of April. This playbook does not fit Bryce's game at all. Yet at the end of April, the decision was made to draft Bryce and he was selected. If the consensus the entire time was to move up to get Bryce, why didn't the playbook have things that fit his game? Instead, we get a watered-down version of the playbook. Hence the same few plays over and over
  24. Regarding this aspect of the conversation. I looked through the staff and see a lot of guys from last years Cardinals and Colts. Both of which earned top picks on their own. But one stood out. Not sure he has any qualifications to do the job he does, nor am I certain what he really does. He is listed in the senior football staff. I particularly cringed when I read this quote: "I was fascinated with human performance psychology and what makes people great. I wanted to read anything and everything that I could read on leadership, character, psychology, and everything about that. I had a theory going into it that if you take the sport-specific requirements away from it, and you look at people who go on to be great in any field become that top 1 percent; my theory is that they would be the same person." Take the sport-specific requirements away??? So if we look at Young without his height, weight and arm strength, then he is a hall of Fame-bound QB? Did they analyze this draft??? https://www.panthers.com/news/brian-decker-special-forces-staff-addition-vp-development-colts-green-beret
  25. Everything about our team is dysfunctional from Tepper down. I understand everyone's anger but I find myself not even getting upset when they lose now. But looking for answers about our dismal offense, I found this article. Seems to me that Thomas Brown was the key creator of the playbook, then blended it with the others including Frank. So who takes the fall? Brown said. "So building a brand-new offense from ground zero essentially based on what we've done before, both myself in my previous experiences from the Rams, but also in college as well. Then kind of blending together with what Frank has done, and guys in the room as well."" https://www.panthers.com/news/thomas-brown-dives-into-the-work-behind-creating-all-new-playbook
