  1. Awful. If the 2nd rounder for 2022 was removed from the deal I'd be okay with it but that's looking like a relatively high 2nd rounder with Darnold at the helm.
  2. Saying the Texans are behind this is insanity. They had a highly valuable asset that they would have gotten a franchise changing return for and now have somebody who no team will touch (at least for the time being). There's no way a team will trade for him until and unless this situation works itself out in a positive way for Watson. If he is found to have done all or some of these things that are being alleged, his NFL future is definitely going to be questionable.
  3. Don't think it means anything. Kenny G, Juju, Will Fuller are also unsigned. Probably waiting for one of them to sign to set the market on the top receivers this year.
  4. Yeah I'm out on that. Realistically though who would give them a package like that? Miami could give 2 firsts this year plus Tua plus a first next year I guess but would Miami do that? I'm not so sure. Jets are probably looking to rebuild vs retool given their lack of talent so I doubt they're in. SF would probably part ways with Deebo Samuel and 2 firsts but I don't know if that's better than what the Panthers could give. I don't think the Texans will get what they want if Jones is right about them wanting that.
  5. 2 firsts I give up in a heartbeat. 2 firsts plus pick 39 I think about it but probably do it. 2 firsts plus pick 39 plus CMC I say no.
  6. These tiptoe catches are absurd. Seattle always seems to get those against us. Infuriating.
  7. In regards to the post above: I don't think that the Three Eyed Crow would betray Dany. Most agree that he's Brynden Rivers aka Bloodraven who is half Targaryen and was always a staunch Targaryen supporter. He also lives and works with the Children of the Forest, who have been enemies with the Others for thousands of years.
  8. Working in Charleston, no kids right now, probably 1-2 years away. Flexible lifestyle, wife likes beaches and shopping but being 20 minutes away from a beach wouldn't be a problem, we're used to being 5 hours from the coast and shoveling 6 feet of snow.
  9. Haha good to know. I've been told to not look at housing in North Charleston but that Summerville, John's Island, and Mount Pleasant are all nice areas. Sound right?
  10. I appreciate all of the input. After some debate, we decided to take it. I'll be a Charlestonian in the near future!
  11. Hi guys, I recently was offered a promotion located in Charleston SC. I currently live in upstate NY and am seriously considering the move. I'm looking for some opinions and thoughts on Charleston as far as quality of life, general area, etc. Both my wife and I are young (I'm 28, she's 26) and we have no kids. We have family not too far away in Charlotte and friends in NC elsewhere. I know that property taxes and state income taxes are lower than NY where we get bent over a barrel by the towns and state. The promotion would give me a raise of about 18% or so. Cost of moving not included. I'd have to sell my house here but that isn't a huge deal I don't think. I'd be renting when first moving down there, if I accept it. I would appreciate any thoughts or opinions on Charleston, the area, or just moving far in general. Thanks.
  12. In case any die hard fan is wondering, A World of Ice and Fire is a must buy. The pictures in it are awesome and the writing is interesting if you're a fan of the series and want to know more about the world. A lot of it you'll know, some you won't. I'm only about 35 pages in. Also, don't get the Kindle version. Get hardback. It's worth it.
  13. Bayaz was an interesting character and because you never got a POV chapter you never knew what he was thinking. Luthar grows on you as you get deeper into the story and his character develops. And there are a ton of interesting side characters throughout the books. Some who become major characters in the standalone books Just a good read IMO He also said he is going to eventually release a new trilogy set in this world, but he hasn't said when or how many, if any, of the old characters will be major players in the new books. It will be a while though because he plans on writing all three books before releasing the first one. Glad u liked it though. Who were your favorite characters? My favorite character ended up being Jezal, who I straight up hated at the beginning. His arc was probably my favorite one. Thoughts on Logen: Black dow: Bayaz: Glokta: I think I'll definitely read the other stuff he's written and probably his next trilogy set in that world. I hope that he does more with Yoru Sulfur, who seems like he could be a fun character to read about. An eater who doesn't follow Khalul who likes to joke around, I'd read that for sure.
  14. Finally finished the series. All three were good reads. You're right that they're kind of just three volumes of one book. The characters were all in a grey area where you root for them but they're all far from perfect. I'll probably read the standalone books he wrote with the trilogy. Have you read those?
