Better taking a guy in a deep draft for WR than paying a guy like Crabtree (been mediocre) that kind of money.

I thought you were talking about the fat chick in the pool wearing jeans and a long sleve shirt

Not what anyone is saying. GJ made his point 52 posts ago. He is now being an utter douche.
-
I understand what you are saying. But, he made his point with the 53 previous quotes that he posted. He had a point at first...now he is just coming across as a douche.

We are still not sure where you stand on this signing. Please post another quote so we can really be sure. We get it...you do not like it. Move on dude. There is nothing in the OT FA market this year. So the choice what a vet OT was Bell or someone like Oher. I will take Oher. I still see OT early in the draft.

Not sure....but we all can agree that you should stop calling him Cpat

Collins scares me....too many comparisons to Barron. And Barron has been a big disappointment

What the holy hell are you talking about? You are actually comparing Hardy being paid to sit out and get paid $13M (while traveling, working on his rap album, etc) to someone who is not able to see their wife and kids for a year? Talk about playing WAY out in left field....you are not even in the stadium.
-
I understand what you are saying and do agree with you to an extent. But, when the punishment would normally be 4-6 games without pay and he got 13 games WITH pay. It is still not much of a punishment at all. Not to mention that he was already playing under the Franchise Tag....which players hate. Always a risk for injury. 13 games off with pay (no risk of injury) is much better than 6 games suspended without pay and then 7 games playing under a 1 year deal. And it is "since"....not "sense".

But you (and others) are refusing to grasp that there was enough evidence for a judge to find him guilty. Even though she did have a conflict of interest and should have recused herself from the trial, the fact that evidence was presented and a judge said guilt IS MORE THAN ENOUGH eveidence for the NFL to take a close look into what was presented.....even though the guilty verdict is superceded by a trial by jury. Is Hardy guilty of everything that Holder accused him of? Probably not. Is Hardy completely innocent and did nothign wrong that night? Probably not. Will he be punished by the league? Very likely....but I am willing to bet it is not 6 games. More likely 2-3.
-
I am not arguing that she should not have recused herself from the trial....hell, I even made the arguement that she should have when her verdict came down. I am not arguing that her verdict was correct. I am not arguing that Hardy is guilty. I am commenting that based on the vagueness of the "conduct detrimental" wording, the NFL's past history on suspensions without legal charges, the high profile nature of this, and then the fact that a monetary settlement was reached and the witness decided to disappear and not proceed; there is LIKELY enough for the NFL to suspend him under the CBA. How much that suspension will be? I doubt it will be 6 games (as that will likely be challeneged and be a mess). More than likely I think it will be 2-4 games.

DLo is backtracking so quickly it looks like he is moonwalking. -
Mike Tolbert Attended DeAngelos Moms Funeral

You are 100% correct and I have to believe that this whole thing (interview, comments, etc) was a VERY calculated move by Dlo and his agent. After the bad press on the Smitty release, they took this as a chance to try and make it look like the evil Panthers mistreating another player....as opposed to the release of a 31 yo RB who is injury prone and whose productivity had fallen off big time. Nothing more than this to see here. -
D Will says Panthers didn't reach out to him when his mother died
MadHatter replied to QCkilla's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agree 100% with Jeremy...very shocking from JR. I can understand why DWill feels slighted....and I am disappointed in JR and the org (it takes very little to reach out to someone hurting and let them know you care). I am disappointed that JR did not reach out to him directly and I am disappointed that the FO did not attend her funeral. I always reach out to co-workers whom I have known well when something bad happens....it is just common courtesy. And, I have attended many funerals for family members of co-workers who have passed away as a statement to them that we do care. However, DWill dealing with this the way he is doing IS definitely petty. At the end of the day, they are your employer (and it is a business)....they are NOT your family. -
This is exactly what I was thinking.
