  1. Damn right I do....I was at that game. Face painted and decked out in Panthers gear. Place was ridiculously loud.....then went dead silent in the first 20 sec of the game.
  2. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Your posts with a masters degree is worthy if a major face palm and a sad skid head shake. Carry on
  3. So facts sound like excuses to you huh? I bet your current high school teachers would be so proud of you.
  4. Well said. I just want a good player brought in that will help this team....don't give a damn WHY they selected him.
  5. Boston and Bene were not starting earlier in the season because they were injured and learning the system because they were injured in TC. Not that hard to understand. They got healthy and they played.
  6. Then your idea of BPA is wrong. BPA means that you take the best player on the board regardless of position. If a player you see at 19 is worth more on your board than those likely to be there with your two picks, then moving up to get them is still bpa.
  7. Yes, because strivers has never put together top defenses......except EVERYWHERE he has coached. Question his eval of offensive talent if you want. But doing so with the defensive side if the ball makes you look like a fool.
  8. Nope....completely wrong. All it says is that he sees a BPA guy that would be available in the 16-19 range that is worth more than the players he could get at 25 and whatever other pick we would give up. It actually totally supports the BPA view.
  9. Not so fast my friend. You have NO IDEA how our staff has the OT's evaluated. There may be a guy they love and would go up and get. Anyone who says they have any idea what we will do are dilusional and kidding themselves.
  10. I think that you can pay the groundwork with a team ahead of the draft. You work out what it would take to make the jump with a team and know the players that you would jump for. But, I agree that you do not make a trade before the draft in the spots that we are talking about...too many variables.
  11. It has been shown over and over that the value chart is not accurate.....especially in a draft where most experts say there are only about 16 or so first round talents and that 20 is the same as 50. Moving from that mid 20 group into the true first round grade group is likely to cost more than a third. But keep thinking you are right....it is cute
  12. Would likely cost more than a 3rd to move up 9 spots in the first.
  13. Exactly my friend. That is why those working with coaches to lower their 40 times end up working mostly on the technique and reaction times for their starts. And that has nothing to do with football or being a good WR.
  14. He originally did. But, now he just wants a job and paycheck
  15. I agree. But, many that take that approach and attitude are the same ones bitching about what others make....and want taxes on others raised to subsidize their healthcare and forgive their student loans. A job is to make a living.....find a hobby in your spare time to have fun.
  16. The only people who start these April Fools Day threads are those poor pathetic souls who are desperate for any attention.
  17. You will enjoy college taking this route....but will be complaining afterwards that you can't find a job, afford your student loan payments, nor make a living.
  18. This exactly. Cam is a damn good QB even with the footwork and mechanics issues....his physical abilities and attributes are off the chart. I see a guy who whe (yes I said when and not if) he takes the next step as a pocket passer will be damn near unstoppable. The upside and opportunities with him could be limitless. It is not a knock on Cam....just a view of how much better he can still be. And that is scary.
  19. I am wondering if they REALLY thought they were....or that they knew we had no $ to upgrade and was hoping that they would surprise everyone. What are your thoughts on this?
  20. I am not saying that he could not use better. I am refuting your assertion that he has no talent around him and that everything is everyone elses fault.
  21. I agree with you on the protection. It is extremely hard for a young QB (whose biggest area for improvement being consisten mechanics and footwork) to significantly improve those without knowing/feeling that the protection is going to be there for him. I hope that Oher can provide an upgrade this year and we pick up an OT or two for the future in this draft. Cam is already a Top 10-12 QB (on talent and physical ability alone).....all anyone (including Rivera) is saying is that he has a much higher ceiling and if he improves on those things he will be lights out and damn near unstoppable.
