Carr is gonna get paid like a top qb by somebody. He is a 4 time pro bowler available as an ufa and nearly won mvp one year. I don't see paying that kind of money for a bridge. Further if you signed him, I'm sure he would be upset if you draft a qb to replace him at 9. I'd rather draft a top qb this year but I do think if you go with carr, you are committing to him as the guy for 3 or 4 years.

Obviously, I liked Olsen but I'll throw out there that I like Burkhardt for play by play a lot too. He calls what he sees plainly and gets out of the way without being repetitive. Joe buck annoyed me so much more.

In the 7-8-1 year, there were very few cardinals fans which I think was because they played an unknown 3rd string qb and Arizona doesn't travel here that great normally. In the two Dallas playoff games, I don't recall there being a very high number of Cowboys fans but we had great teams those years and our bandwagon was more full. I expect if we were to play them this year, their fans would be like cockroaches when you turn the lights on.

I know for a fact that ticket scalpers have bought a good number of psls as an investment. Those are always gonna go to the highest bidder. I also know very few psl holders have made any profit in recent years as supply has greatly exceeded demand and now ticketmaster/stubhub/etc are taking fees on any tickets that change hands.

I'm no expert but I think the panthers could add some years that automatically void at the end of his contract and then convert a portion of his remaining salary to signing bonus which would be paid now but hit the cap across all the years on his contract. That would add dead money to our cap in future years but could make him very attractive to contenders in a trade. They could do the same thing without the voidable years which would add more dead cap sooner if he were traded. Very debatable if any of that would be a good idea.

Can we imagine the reaction here if rhule had went ballistic on the sideline and got a 15 yd penalty. Also, if the calls we got happen to the cowboys or the steelers instead, the national media would have talked about it all week. Both of these things are true: 1) the panthers played awful most of the game and could have won if they had been better prepared. 2) the refs are abominable and gifted the browns the last second fg which changed the outcome.
