I agree with those who are happy as long as we get one of the big 2. In that case, I'm more excited to go to training camp and preseason games than I have been since cams first year. If we take someone else, I'll convince myself to be excited but I really think that would be a mistake.

I'm pretty annoyed with the media types complaining that people aren't signing/trading for lamar. I mean he is obviously talented but you are betting huge amounts of draft capital AND a quarter of your salary cap long term for a player that has missed a lot of games the last two years. Arguably, you may have to design a different offense around his strengths too. It's not these media guys job to decide how teams should run. If Lombardi were a good gm, he would still have that position.

He very well may. It seems anyone can be successful in that offense. If our new qb and offense is going strong, it won't be too hard to see darnold succeed. However, if our house is in shambles, that will be painful to see simultaneously.

He is on a rookie contract and cheap for 2 years (like 2m cap hit). Sutton is on a big contract. That definitely makes a difference in trade value. I like both but neither is worth a 1st imo.

It seems reasonable to me that you can't get everything...if you get fully gtd, you may get a little less annually or less years. The fact that he turned down a fully gtd offer seems to indicate that at least Baltimore isn't colluding with anyone. That argument doesn't seem very valid to me.

Completely agree. We gain nothing by giving him away. There is some chance that he is a diamond in the rough that just needs a chance. They should not give up on him without ever giving him any chance. I'm good with drafting a top guy this year but throwing Corral away now makes no sense to me.

I feel bad for Corral. He has had really no chance. I hope he gets healthy and lights up the preseason regardless of what else happens at qb between now and then.

I don't think I ever saw Levis play so I'm curious why he gets the hate he gets here? I know some analysts say he has the tools and size of a prototype qb. I know he played sec opponents without the supporting cast most sec teams have. For negatives, I think he turned it over too much last year. I've seen some here mention his age. How old is he? Is there more than that?

Carr is gonna get paid like a top qb by somebody. He is a 4 time pro bowler available as an ufa and nearly won mvp one year. I don't see paying that kind of money for a bridge. Further if you signed him, I'm sure he would be upset if you draft a qb to replace him at 9. I'd rather draft a top qb this year but I do think if you go with carr, you are committing to him as the guy for 3 or 4 years.

Obviously, I liked Olsen but I'll throw out there that I like Burkhardt for play by play a lot too. He calls what he sees plainly and gets out of the way without being repetitive. Joe buck annoyed me so much more.
