Going #1 is proof that nothing is a sure thing

Who are these “established” qbs? A third of the league is in horrible qb shape just like us or are starting a rookie. -

This is the type of stuff I’d love to have seen in the preseason. But for the panthers, those reps aren’t that important. -

I’m not worried about the result. Just looking to see better qb and oline play today. -
Some nice misdirection on a few of those play calls.

I like what I see out of Wallace. Good nose for the ball.

Haven’t been a psl owner since covid. Are psl owners still required to pay full rate on preseason games?
-
Yep. It seems like his unit is always ready to play. Id love to see him with a pass rush.

This was well produced. Got me a little excited for a season that I have zero expectations for. I get the feeling that Coach and GM are finally on the same page. That is reason for some optimism in and of itself.

They’re trying to bait Necas. They can’t skate with him. -
Canes vs Rags Round 2 Game 2 Tuesday 7PM

Power play is way too passive. I get being selective in overtime because you don’t want to give up the shorty, but there’s way too much side to side. Have to throw those at Igor and hope for a rebound. -
Did Scott Fitterer draft any good players?
bigdog_10_2002 replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
The real concern is how many of Fitts staff are still employed to screw up the next draft. Hell, our current GM was in the copilot seat for most of these draft picks. -
WR Diontae Johnson to the Panthers

Have you Ever Been This Apathetic About the Panthers Before?
bigdog_10_2002 replied to Seltzer's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oddly enough, I’m in the same boat. im not losing sleep over losing players from a 2-15 roster or guys who have been here for multiple years and aided in the reasons this team has been a bottom feeder. for the first time in a long time it looks like we are embracing the rebuild. -
The best thing he and Morgan can do is build the roster and not worry about tailoring anything in the draft for Bryce. Bryce being the number one pick means he should be able to elevate the play of those around him (given he has better protection than last year). If he can’t, then he will fade but at least Morgan and Canales will have begun the building process of restoring the roster for the next guy. we don’t need to go into this draft with the mindset of adding a piece because he would work with Bryce well. We need to add good football players across the board.

Steve Wilks owning Dan Campbell yet again.
bigdog_10_2002 replied to CamWhoaaCam's topic in Carolina Panthers
Somebody needs to ask him why he kicked the FG from the two yard line at the end of the first half. That is completely out of character for him. In my opinion, the game was lost on that decision. -
Tony Pauline: Campen was Tepper's "eyes and ears"
bigdog_10_2002 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
The more and more that comes out the more I feel for Reich, Staley and McCown. All those dudes probably envisioned such a different situation when they heard they had the number one pick with a team that finished the prior season strong with a defense that was built to compete. then they were made the scapegoats when the owner fell in love with the test taker over the actual QB. it was an absolute no win situation for those guys. -
Absolutely no disrespect to Dan Morgan, he was great for us and I have always been a fan of him; but how anyone from the current administration could be promoted in an environment that has produced the worst professional sports winning percentage since 2018 is mind numbingly stupid. this hire reeks of Tepper wanting to continue his influence in the day to day operations of a failing franchise.

The 33rd pick in the draft needs to be traded for a later second and hopefully a third. I wouldn’t be opposed to 2 OL out of those three picks (trade partners 2nd and 3rd and our 3rd). Two interior Olineman in those picks and the best available edge rusher, receiver or tight end.

Saw a stat yesterday that the 2023 panthers are the first team in NFL history to never hold a lead for one second in the fourth quarter (both of their wins came in game ending field goals) this team wasn’t just the worst panther team ever, it’s in the running for one of the worst nfl teams of all time.

Franchise tag, ugly holdout, a complete distraction coming for our brand new coach. just how Fitty drew it up.

Penalty negates a TD very next play, our two top ten picks combine for a turnover.
