Week 18 Game Thread: Cats vs Birds

How could they not. This defense is gonna be vastly improved if they don’t add a single player just by getting Brown back. Statistically, it can’t be much worse. -

I’m pretty certain our draft range is 3-9 with 3 being almost entirely impossible. If a win here ends up keeping Atlanta out of the playoffs and Penix being some kinda media darling for a week, sign me up. -

Clowney showing a lot of character in a lost season. He’s been steady this year and a great example to some of the younger guys. -
I was ready to jump on Bryce about QBR & passer RTG, but...

These are encouraging. I’d add in that he’s doing this with the following weapons: Thielen: an absolute pro but probably shouldn’t be a one at this point UDFA A rookie receiver who has the yips A rookie tight end David Moore: who hasn’t had a meaningful season catching passes since 2020 Honestly, after typing that out, I’m not sure there’s a worse group of skill players in the nfl outside of maybe New Orleans and with their current state of injuries. Maybe Las Vegas but Meyers and Bowers are probably still better. Ten and Jax both have better receiving and tight end options. Cleveland has Jeudy and Njoku Have to surround him with better options on the offensive side of the ball at the skill positions. Chuba is great. Sanders, XL, and Coker have all shown very encouraging signs but more is needed. -
I’m indifferent on firing Evero, but I don’t know how you look him in the face after you spent 100 million on guards, made one of the most lopsided trades ever for a shaky qb, let his best pass rusher go for next to nothing on the trade market, watched two anchors of his defense go down in Brown and Shaq; all the while giving him next to nothing on the defensive side of the ball talent wise for the last three years.

HOT TAKE: Go Offense this offseason again.

If that check is big enough absolutely. He’s gonna get paid by a bad team. New England will probably make a big push for him I’d imagine. -
The defense's highest graded player according to PFF

Yeah, but he’s a liabillity on special teams. -

Sign Higgins Draft Carter or Graham if available. If not, BPA Draft the best MLB in the second round Fill the rest of the draft with depth at CB, LB, and Dline. -

Has anyone ever seen Xavier Woods actually be in good position? I feel like every game I’m watching a huge play or td for the other team and he’s running back to his spot from a mile away. -

He got a big ovation in the fourth today when they showed him on the big screen. Fans still love Ron.- 34 replies

The sad thing is we should be running away with the number one pick as we are statistically the worst team in the league by a large margin. Our point differential is 40 points worse than the second worst team in the raiders. we’re dead last in points against by 31 points. And 39 points above the giants who are the worst offensive team.

How did they mess up so bad with Mayfield and Darnold,
bigdog_10_2002 replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lack of patience, vision, and identity from the top of the organization are why those two didn’t work. -
This is also exactly what this team is supposed to look like when the run is shut down or abandoned

This franchise does an amazing job of just falling all over itself at every turn. Just can’t seem to get out of its own way.

That effort from clowney was awesome. He was lined up opposite side and ran it down. little things like that make me believe we’ve got the right coaches in place. Veterans not quitting on a 3-10 team.

Not enough credit has been given to Dan for the Mike Jackson trade. He’s been a solid addition and filled a huge hole we would have had at the cb2 spot.

Dang. Absolutely hate seeing that for Brooks. Does anyone know if that’s the same knee?
