The Tinderbox is great, but you have to have a thick skin. You will get challenged on your beliefs and you can't run to the moderators because someone was mean to you. But it can be educational and sometimes great debate goes on there with really smart posters making good arguments. -

I think some of these moves are because Cho and Clifford have probably been told they are on the hotseat so they are making moves to try and make us better right now

Biz isn't elite defensively, and his strength on defense does not compensate for his inadequacies on offense. Whatever rim protection he provided he wasn't great moving his feet or being out of position as he would at times hunt blocks on defense. His Real Defensive Plus/Minus was not much higher than Big Al's, and Al struggled last year with injuries (on top of not being a great defender to begin with) He won't average 10-15-4 next year because no one is going to play him enough minutes to. Someone on twitter said yesterday that initial interest around the league for Biz is tepid.
-
I am so tempted to give a one line response lol. Look the guy is just not that good. His offense was putrid, and his defense is overrated, and his rim protection doesn't make up for his offense. You can't run any pick and roll with him because you just trap the ball because he can't even catch the ball and when he does he cannot finish around the rim unless he has a wide open dunk. I like Biz. He seemed like a good dude, but he just wasn't very good. He is young though and seemed to improve year to year so hopefully he carves out a career as a role player. I hate moving on from projects before they fully develop, which happens all the time which is why I don't like drafting projects, but I am not surprised. ETA: no need to ever apologize to me. Say your piece brother

Biz kinda sucked guys. He could barely catch a basketball.

Not surprised and not upset.

All I can say is what it symbolizes to me, and that is the south, and my heritage. However, it has been used as a symbol of hate, death, and terrorism and because of that that is what it symbolizes to a great many people. And with that understanding there is no excuse whatsoever for this flag or the official confederate flag to be flying over any government building or on any public land. White supremacy in the 1800's and early 1900's was an American problem. Not just regulated to the south. Life for black people in the north were not much better than the south, and in some northern states arguably worse. Also, even though the north eventually fought for emancipation of slaves they wanted none of those free slaves in their states and wrote laws to discourage black migration. This was particularly true of northern states that were almost exclusively white (some northern states had a black population of around 1%, and wanted to keep it that way) Slavery is an abomination, and there is no doubt it was one of the primary causes of the Civil War, and southern economy was entrenched in the availability of free labor. Especially states like Alabama, Mississippi, SC, and Louisiana. So I am not trying to defend the south against that institution. But just to remind people that white supremacy was a universal belief throughout the US. And the fight for equality today is still nationwide. There are active Ku Klux Klan groups and other white supremacy groups like the CCC, across the northeast and rust belt as well as places like California. This fight against racism does not just take place in SC, or below the Mason Dixon line, or is fixed with the removal of a flag. It is fought everyday, in every corner of the nation. And people need to accept it. Drop the tired tropes of reverse racism. Stop accepting the bullshit narrative of Christian persecution, End the rhetoric of preferential treatment of blacks by our government. This is the rhetoric that led to the misguided beliefs of this young man. If you are not fighting against these things, if you allow these narratives to go unchallenged, you are part of the problem. /rant

BREAKING: Lebron James is pretty good at this basketball thing
-
This may not apply because it isn't a Panthers picture, but could he effectively used in a Shula thread. Plus it always makes me laugh

These HAVE to be included IMO Everything about this picture is classic. The face, the thumbs up, the score, the Christmas lights. Everything. Perfection

I was impressed with Corey last year. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he is starting in September.

I have been reading some fan theories and I still feel like the final battle is going to be between Jon Snow and Dany (Ice and Fire) I still think he is dead, I think he will be resurrected by the Night's King (the WW king) and not the red lady. The Night King is obviously an intelligent being and not a mindless zombie (he also apparently used to be the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch before he became a WW, I didn't know that) I feel pretty confident that the three dragon riders are Dany (obviously), Snow, and Tyrion. But does that mean they are all on the same side at the end? There are plenty of stories in Westerosi history of wars with dragons fighting on both sides. I don't know. I just feel it deep down in my plums. I also have a weird feeling that the finale may end with no survivors, everyone dies. Valar Morghulis. "All men must die"
