  1. I have never stopped believing that. Ultimately I just want the Panthers to win. I believe keeping Hardy if it was possible financially was a step towards that. I am disappointed that JR made the decision that he did.
  2. Look, I don't personally dislike Mr Richardson. I am sure that he is a nice guy. However, it is this nice guy approach that got us into cap hell. I don't believe that it was the doing of hurney all alone. I believe that he needs to step back and let the football guys do their jobs. We have had like about 5 or 6 winning seasons. If you don't think that he is at least partially responsible for that, then you are sorely mistaken. The entire Hardy thing has been handled wrong since the moment he started crying on TV. That came across so manufactured to me. Why wasn't he crying when it first happened before the outrage from the media started up? Anyways, I reiterate, he needs to let DG manage football ops and just enjoy the ride. It will give him the best opportunity to hoist the Lombardi trophy before he passes. The only thing that he needs to be involved in is the hiring and firing of the GM.
  3. I really wish JR would become a hands off type of owner. Let the football geniuses run the show and make personnel decisions. Somebody get JR a box of kleenex for his next cry session.
  4. I think that the key words are "on our board." Gett is not going to have a QB, DT or MLB on the board in the first couple of rounds. It is bpa, but that would only apply to players on the Panthers board. Hope this clears it up. By the way in the event we were drafting first you better believe that Gett would be cashing in and trading down rather than drafting the true bpa Winston.
  5. No because I certainly don't know better than Gett when it comes to NFL drafting. I trust him to make the right pick. Why would I ever be mad?
  6. People seem to be allergic to Bleacher Report around here. So I didn't link it. I get updates on the Panthers from BR.
  7. Good luck to him. He is the greatest Panther RB in our franchises history. Think it's a great fit and scheme for him. Good coach and partner in Leveon Bell.
  8. You don't suppose that something called the salary cap had anything to do with bell and Chandler being our tackles last season. Yes, I do have a lot of faith in Gettleman. 25 years of football is a hellova lot of years of football experience and I will trust him over the huddle reactionaries each and every time. I understand that while building a successful franchise, you are going to have some misses. You simply can't make every shot. You will have some misses. Even Michael Jordan missed shots, that doesn't mean that he isn't arguably the greatest basketball player of all time. Patience my friend. Gett knows what he's doing and we will get to the promised land eventually.
  9. If anybody is looking for a get rich quick scheme, I highly suggest moving to New Orleans, going into the paper bag industry and opening a shop selling custom paperbags and specifically custom sizing for those in need of larger sizes like our good friend Alice. The opportunity has not been greater for years, think about the housing boom circa summer of 2002.
  10. I don't know why, but I just have a feeling that Oher is going to play well for us. Maybe not pro bowl well but be a huge step in the right direction for our team. We shall see. Hope that I am right. I trust DG and his evaluation of talent.
  11. For those that are nervous about Oher, just take a look into your memory banks and remember that we survived an entire year with Byron Bell as our LT, or should I say Cam survived
  12. He's definitely the perfect stop gap as Hepcat has already said. Just what we needed so that our hand is not forced in the draft for an OT. We can draft bpa which is the ticket to building a superb team. Nice job by Gett.
  13. I think that the Eagles win this one in the long term. After factoring in the impact on the cap then they win in the short term too.
  14. This is what's funny. A person who isn't found guilty doesn't need a second chance, but the media (i.e.NFL live) speaks as if only half the teams will be interested in giving him a 'second chance', and only if there is stipulations in his contract over his behavior. " What a joke. He is guilty in the eyes of the media and the NFL irregardless of not being found guilty. The NFL and media members on their high horses are continuing to embarrass themselves.
  15. Goodell should have already lost his job over his handling of these domestic abuse cases, especially Rice's. The only thing that has saved him is that he has his nares so far up the NFL owners backsides that he can't break free. I am at the point where I blame the owners more than Goodell who I despise and want to see fired.
  16. I was just watching NFL live and I am scratching my head because they were talking about Greg as if he was found guilty. Saying that whoever signs him will have measures in his contract regarding his history. The case was dropped idiots. He didn't even get charged with a felony. Morons.
  17. Seems like a genuinely nice guy. Just not our LT anymore.
  18. One positive on the football side of things is that Rivera won't have the opportunity to start him anymore and will now have to go with Stewart. We played better once D-Lo went down with an injury and Stew got the bulk of the carries.
  19. Good luck to Deangelo. He's a good guy and I wish him the best wherever he's at unless he's playing against us of course. I believe he still has a couple of years left in some capacity.
  20. It's definitely the way to go because if we end up with a surplus at a position we can make trades and acquire draft picks and talent at positions of need. I agree with our GM's philosophy 100 percent.
  21. This draft simply does not excite me with its OT's. Other positions will be better picks at 25.I am pretty confident that it won't be a tackle in the first. I am guessing WR, SECONDARY or DE. Yes we need one, but it has to always be BPA and I don't believe any of those tackles will be that at 25. We will see and I firmly trust our GM to make the right selection.
  22. Welcome to the Carolina Panthers DGB! I believe that he's too damn good at a position of great need to pass on. To think that we can land this kind of terror at 25! Defensive coordinators and secondaries will be having nightmares for weeks before we play them
  23. I prefer the California Angels. Never was big on the LA Angels or Anaheim Angels or whatever else they want to call them. The rotation is looking good. Richards has begun throwing off the mound. Hopefully this is the year that we can get back to the World Series.
