  1. You have to assume he has an idea where he is playing now. Teams cant really pay him whatever, hes locked into a contract structure. If hes completely cleared lets see where he ends up. Say he did pick the Panthers. Itd be an attention grabbing story that will, without warrant, raise the expectation level for the season in the media.
  2. Im glad he got 10 games. At first i was like "crazy crack ***** got my boy all fuged up in some poo!" But think about it.... This situation has everything the nfl has been trying to fight. Drugs.. Alcohol... Weapons... And of course violence.
  3. Boy did he show some ability tho. That comeback route will be something to watch.
  4. He obviously gassed a bit last year, but his comments tell me he understands what it takes! He thinks he can be one of the greats. Based off what hes shown he has a great shot.
  5. I think they are asked to take an occasional sip with the logo facing away from their body.
  6. Thanks g jack. People will complain but i prefer this forum to my cluster fug Twitter timeline
  7. Hasn't played football since freshman year of high school, but apparently has worked out with "several teams". Any chance this guy gets drafted? http://btn.com/2015/04/14/former-penn-state-forward-ross-travis-enters-name-in-nfl-draft/
  8. Bene was drafted to be a nickel but turns out he's just a really good corner period. Ive always admired Tillman and I'm sure he'll be on the field a ton but I'm not quite as optimistic he will be better than Bene given where he is in his career. That doesn't mean I dont think he can be of value. I look forward to hearing quotes from DG and Ron.
  9. I can't see him out snapping bene at corner. I agree that he's best suited outside, but in substitute packages. That is unless he does end up converting to safety. I mentioned the special teams play because of the teams new approach and his possible role as a situational player.
  10. If he can be solid 3rd cb and get in on special teams it'll be worth it. Its a position you have to invest in this day in the NFL. If he's still any good that back end is starting to look really dangerous.
  11. Coach is hinting at Cam being ready to take that last big step big step forward. I get excited when i read comments like that from the head coach. When Cam starts hitting on every throw week after week we are talking a supreme player!
  12. He also wanted hardy back. Well just have to wait and see. I guess the positive tone is nice.
  13. Its illegal as of today. Ill use sufferage as an analogy here. It used to be legal to tell a woman or a black person they cant vote until the constitution was amended. Does it mean it was right before the amendment? Thats up to you, but it was "legal"
  14. This thread is awesome. It really could've ended after the first reply but I guess I'll play along as well because it just seems like so much fun... 2x first rounders Bowman (pending physical) Vernon Davis (pending a new team friendly deal) Torrey Smith Carlos Hyde Joe Staley Maybe that's getting closer... :eyesroll:
  15. Man.. Book is apparently out on this guy. Nevermind he's only 26 coming off a year of solid NFL production. The guy now has a chance to come to town and compete for a role. In his mind he's going for starter. Too bad we gave him all that Jake Long money. Y'all remember that. derp.. And if you wanted a different safety.. Don't forget about the draft and these udfas coming in. You better believe there will be some competition at the position. No reason not to at this point.
  16. Let's also not even mention that being the play that raised the NFL's attention to runners leading with the helmet. Brought him down despite the illegal hit by Richardson.
  17. Depends on how you look at it. McCoy is big money. They turned him into kiko and maxwell. Kiko could be as good for them as Luke is to us. And they desperately needed help on the back end D. I'd value MLB and CB over RB personally. Foles verses a healthy Bradford is no contest. While its a huge gamble because of the injury history but a QB with prospects like Bradford aren't just available. Foles was solid for them but how much of that was Kelly? I'll give Kelly the benefit of the doubt when it comes to who he wants playing QB. I'm not saying he's buying low to save, but if a player like Alonzo was healthy and for some reason a UFA he'd command a top salary. Kelly is gambling, but I think these moves could work out for them.
  18. Breer made a good point on nfln just now. Kelly made the point in his presser as well, these are guys that would not be available if they weren't injured. Buy low approach. Some of these moves could come through. Bradford could explode. I love Alonzo. Mathews is a talented runner, sure he's often injured but not many backs aren't if you really think about it.
  19. Well. If he would agree to a role similar to the one he played with the saints I like the fit here more so than spiller. I'd be willing to part with one of the younger backs. That said he may still be good enough to be at least a part time feature back and we don't have room for that at the moment. I'm sure someone will promise him 15 touches a game. It won't be us.
  20. Whatever your stance is on this situation its probably not fair to either the Panthers org or Deangelo. The only winner here was Molly Grantham and WBTV.
  21. I know some scandalous stuff as well. We should cross check stories sometime.
  22. Long term break ups are ugly. This one had been going south since Hurney got canned. Maybe Dwill was always more of a Hurney guy than a Richardson guy.
