I'm actually betting that teams are willing to wait and call the Bears bluff. Nobody wants to overpay for the #1 pick. The team that holds the cards is Arizona. Bears will talk like they're willing to draft a QB, but I'm betting they're going to be forced to pick Jalen Carter. The Cardinals will have a new coach next year... and they're the one who I think they're the team we should be looking to trade with. D-hop is looking to leave so they're likely looking to add a receiver and get additional picks. Moving up to 3 seems more likely than moving up to #1. Things could get interesting draft wise if the Cardinals want to get Sean Payton as a head coach. I tend to think that working with Kyler Murray is a more attractive job than working with Russel Wilson. Trading with the Panthers at 9 would let the Cardinals draft Deandre's replacement (Quentin Johnson.)

I get it. Harbaugh is a legit good coach. But this is messy and that kind of sentiment trickles down to other parts of the organization.

No. David Tepper set this team back doing all the wrong things at the wrong time. Wrong coach. Kept him on too long. Fired him too early in the season. I can't blame Steve Wilks for making the most of what was given to him and getting more out of our talent than the previous guy. He lost players and coaches all season... and got guys to perform and made US keep watching. It's amazing how well a group of guys can do under different leadership.

I actually think that Las Vegas is a likely destination for Brady. This doesnt mean that they dont take a quarterback. But I think that Tampa and Las Vegas are teams that could be looking to draft a QB in the first round this year. If we make the playoffs, there's are a few scenarios where non of the top 4 guys are there. So prepare to take a defensive player or a tight end.

Once you realize the relationship between clicks, journalism and add revenue.... you'll free yourself from the stress of these kinds of takes.

I'm just here to say that I was wrong about Zach Wilson. That's my opinion on Will Levis.

Good read. I'll reserve my opinion of whether or not Sam Darnold is bad or not for another day. But he's certainly not the answer. The problem is that he wasn't being utilized in a way that best suits his skillset. He's a mobile QB, who does well when he doesn't throw the ball over 25 times a game. If our run game is not ELITe, I have zero faith in Sam Darnold to make the throws we need. BUT, if he buys into how the coaching staff wants to use him, (Which happens to be a very similar way that we used Cam), we can win games.

Yes and no and probably maybe sorta kinda sometimes.

Trap games happen to teams with winning records. I know we're feeling good... but that's not exactly us right now.

In 9 games, Wilks has done more than Matt Rhule has done in 2 1/2 years. I dont want recency bias to blind us by celebrating mediocrity. But I think that some things are really about fit. Some players work out better other places because of fit. And it really seems like Steve Wilks fits here. He understands the culture, the fan base, and the players love him. That is going to be hard to duplicate. There's talent all over this league but good coaching tends to separate teams that stay bad from teams that stay good. Steve Wilks' was set up to fail... and we're a game out of the playoffs. Imagine what would happen if he had the support he deserves. He's our guy.

Luke was like having a QB on the field at the LB position. But we've never seen what he can do as a coach and what kind of scheme he would come up with. His preparation is ELITE and I think that he could actually be a better coach than he was a player. He likely has a lot of guys in his ear trying to get him to coach.
