  1. Good on him to make it easy on Bryce for obvious reasons. But the Matt Corral jokes are really dumb for us as a fan base. We need him to do well. We want him to be as good as possible. The better he is, the better the team is. Injuries happen. And with a longer season, he could see real playing time. I love that he's motivated. I love that he has a chip on his shoulder. I hope he makes our QB room more prepared and competitive.
  2. Coaches have an arrogant way of thinking they can fix everybody. This feels like they had to reach for Evero to give him something of value after taking Mingo in the 2nd. The low production and character concerns tell me this guy is somebody we should’ve waited for. But If he works out, nobody will remember or cafe that we traded up for him. Eviro knows the kind of players he’s looking for to match the scheme so they’re looking at the position and the board much different than most people. I’m meh … but will trust the coaching process. Im hoping we get some oLine / corner depth on the last day
  3. There's levels to this... I feel like Tepp gave away our draft strategy last night when he was yapping about targeting defense because we have Bryce. We're not out of the woods yet.
  4. At this point... the only thing that can ruin this for me is us taking Will Levis. I trust this coaching staff.
  5. I've watched most of the films from QB Tape and I love it because there's no music, commentary or hype. Just ball. I dont hate Bryce Young. But the tape shows that his size is not just a concern for seeing over the pocket, or getting hit. But his size is related to his arm talent as well. I think there's some inconsistency when we need to push the ball downfield. He's so toesy because he's trying to see everything.... and he's throwing up over his own line so much that it causes accuracy issues. His processing is Elite and he makes alot of special things happen. He's developed his game to compensate for his weakness. I just dont know if that's enough. There were alot of throws out there that were not his receivers fault. This is why I prefer CJ Stroud. But if Bryce is the guy... Im rooting for him to prove me wrong. Whoever the pick is, I trust that the experience on our coaching staff made the right decision.
  6. Great for the running game. He's a great blocker. And would be a dope option if we want to run two TE sets. Imagine having the smallest football player in the league throwing to the biggest football player in the league. I get the feeling that he's a guy thats gonna get some hype before he gets to us. But if he's there, I'm with it.
  7. This looks like league collusion. Almost like they want his stock to drop to go to a certain team. watch something weird happen on draft night. Media guys talk to coaches who put out BS to push other teams off of him
  8. Ok, so call me a conspiracy theorists... but Im super skeptical about everyone coming out banging the table for Bryce Young, like his size isn't a legit concern. Just talk about his game and his tape. Its good enough. But the media narrative that his size is not a factor feels a little contrived.
  9. Thanks. Didnt know it was already posted. I tried to scower the huddle but you guys are quick.
  10. Because we're all fiending for more Bryce and CJ content before the draft.... this was 4 years ago. So as far as talent assessments go, these guys have substantially grown and I wouldnt use it to judge them on the field today. But I watched these videos to get a snapshot for who they are players, teammates and how they respond to coaching and competition. Couple of things to note: 1.) When CJ and Bryce say they are friends, I believe this is the place that friendship began 2.) Bryce has been a blue chip prospect since High School. For him to carry that pressure through college, dealing with his size speaks volumes. 3.) Watch how CJ handles backing up Bryce, how he emerges as a leader, and how his teammates respond to him. We've seen a lot of highlights and film about these guys. But there are things that the tape wont tell you. We all have our preferences of style but both are high character brothers and I'm proud one of them will be a Panther. There are other episodes you can watch on youtube to get the full story. Anthony Richardson is there as well. Careful.. you might catch feels on this one.
  11. Bryce Young is not Steph Curry. Steph Curry is 6'2.
  12. I'm ok with Bryce being his favorite but we need better reasons. Alot of development happened past the Summer of 2022 an will continue to happen. Making that assessment off a glorified summer pro-day is an incomplete assessment. I think that one of the things that people aren't thinking about regarding CJ is that they think he can't get better. As if he has reached his ceiling. Coaches believe they can develop Will Levis and Anthony Richardson... but for some reason its like CJ has peaked. None of these guys is a perfect prospect. For the all of the things that Bryce Young does well, there are ill-advised throws and inconsistent arm strength on the deep ball. I believe all of these guys can get better. I think Bryce can get heavier on an NFL nutrition plan... but he wont get much taller. That can't be developed. I dont think Bryce's size is going to impact him as much as others may think because he's played in the SEC but its definitely apart of his evaluation.
  13. Dont sleep on how hard Fred Hammond "Blessed" can be. Great way to start the day. Hate to fall in love with a prospect that might not be coming here... but leadership is written all over him.
  14. Saw a lot of Will Anderson this year. Felt like he disappeared in some games. I think Lamar is great but that’s not why you trade up to #1.
  15. This is great for Bryce. Its cool to see how Nick Saban comes to bat for his guys. He did the same thing for Mac Jones. But the fact that we know next to nothing about CJ's preparation kind of puts this into context ... and even if we did... it wouldnt be taken with the same weight of Nick Saban. It just seems like Saban is pouring it on a little thick here. Him and Steve Smith.
  16. I regularly watch the Underdogs videos. They were planning to do an AR vid, but they couldnt because he got hired by the Panthers.... so yea, change of plans. But he definitely has a soft spot for CJ.
  17. Hot mic moment: Coach McCowN To CJ This doesn’t guarantee that we’re taking CJ. It just means that we know who McCown likes the most. Which isn’t new news. CJ playing with house money right now
  18. Tepper loves Bryce Young but wants his 5'9 190 lb Quarterback to be tackled on turf. We're not out of the woods yet folks.
  19. I literally do not care. Panthers gonna open a can on that candy ass.
