  1. Feels like we're in an intersting place in the football.... most people dont have great linemen .... but they dont want to get rid of the one's they have. This tells me that over the past few years that the o-line position has not really evolved much. Alot of the way the game is played has changed and the normal body and play types are not what they used to be. I dont know if its poor coaching, development, or what... but greatness on the line is just not out there.
  2. The problem with winning sometimes is that it masks your problems. They did it when Cam was at Quarterback. If we make the playoffs this year behind this trash O-line... Fitt still needs to overhaul this unit.
  3. Im really glad that Sam is not a statue back there. Having a mobile QB is an absolute must these days. Sam is also taking the ball in alot more short yardage than I wouldve expected. He's definitely a baller and I like the attitude he plays with. When he gets out of the pocket, playing backyard football, he's dangerous.
  4. I think this was thoughtful and accurate. If you've watched closely.. even with games where Christian was available... Sam was looking downfield. Sam has also missed a few wide open guys because he keys in on one side of the field. Yes, he doesnt have a lot of time, but alot of those routes are going to get jumped if he keeps this up. I like that he's not automatically trying to dump the ball... but there are alot of instances where the better play is to dump it to your RB... even if its Chuba.
  5. The OLine is so bad... it leads me to believe that we will spend big money ... Bye Donte Jackson
  6. I hope Im wrong but I think this is going to be our first loss. The defense will play well but Sam Darnold has gotten away with putting the ball in danger a few games in a row. I think we pay for it this week. If there is a turnover or a few 3 and outs, we give Dallas a short field, which Dak will take advantage of. I believe in our defense.... but they can't play offense for us. In one week, we lost two starters on both sides of the ball: Jaycee, Juston, Christian and Dan. As excited as we are about Tommy Tremble, losing Dan Arnold means we lose an experienced pass catcher, who could sit in zones. Our Oline was not getting a good push for Christian... much less Chuba. Dallas -24 Carolina - 17
  7. I heard Shrager say that he could see Dallas putting of FORTY points on this defense. I literally laughed out loud.
  8. He really just looked like we flew him in on Red eye after finding out he was traded. But leave it to this fan base to overreact to everything.
  9. This is the perfect scenario for him. He doesnt have to come in and lead. We have enough alpha dogs on this team. Let him be himself and be athletic. He has some serious ball skills.... in my opinion... better ball skills than Jaycee. Look at his tape against Jamaar Chase. His closing speed is special. Sometimes all a guy needs is change of environment. And the Panthers have always had a special locker room.
  10. David Newton continues to discredit ESPN every day that he opens his stupid mouth. What a trash network.
  11. Whats crazier is that they're getting better. Sheesh.
  12. It was reported that Phil Snow stayed in the facility to start preparing for the Houston Texans. He's had 10 days to prepare for this Dallas Cowboys offense. I fully expect for the Snowman to bring Winter. Its not just our pass rush, but our run defense is truly in rare space. Through the first three games, the Panthers defense has the fewest rushing yards (135) in franchise history. Its the 8th fewest in NFL history. Our Gameplan is simple. Suffocating the run makes it easier to pressure the QB. If we dont get a ton of penalties and Sam Darnold protects the football.....
  13. So we're not signing Jesus Christ Almighty?
  14. I take all of these reports with a grain of salt. There are people who still question Cam Newtons "football desire" and coaches thought that DJ Moore's disposition as if he wasnt taking his job seriously. Until they can cite an actual infraction, I'm not concerned. I know its a nice idea that everyone is a cookie cutter type guy, but relationships do matter. If we have coaches who are familiar with personnel... Im good with trusting them.
  15. This. Whenever he gets back, we need to have a new approach to using him. I have an idea... Stop running him in between the tackles inside the 5 yard line.
  16. Definitely might be a good fantasy pick up in a few weeks. I'll keep a look out for him.
  17. This is excellent context. It tells me 1.) We've been working on depth before injuries. It tells me that that we're probably doing the same at other positions of need. 2.) We really dont know how this will effect DJax negotiations. We have money. We dont have draft picks. We may be able to move some things around to keep him. (Cmac restructure?) 3.) If you've watched this defense... having fast, rangy corners is really a big part of what helps us control the run game. And when our pass rush is this elite... those guys can be physical and opportunistic.
  18. The analysis on this defense is that they are FAST. Everyone is flying around to the ball. An average DB with ball skills can do well in a defense with the kind of pass rush that we have. He's strong. He's fast. He's not the dog that Jaycee is. But can he contribute with with Donte, AJ, Burris and Chinn? Absolutely! This is Big.
  19. This is a great trade. He may not even start... but this gives us much needed depth and great potential at the position. He has speed and size. Needs to be coached up. I dont think this necessarily means that Donte is gone. But it gives us options going into the offseason. Dan Arnold wasnt bad, but I think we like what we have in Tommy Tremble and Ian Thomas. This lets us get Robbie the touches he needs. Shi Smith is coming off of injury and we're getting solid contributions from guys like Brandon Zylstra. It was the best piece to move. I know that we're worried about the Draft... but if this team continues to improve, then we're a year a two away from consistent contention. We've got money to attract the help we need and draft O-line in 2022.

    My god

Center and Right guard both whiffed on their assignments. They're actually doing alot of the things that we do on the line with pulling the tackles. Our O-line should be used to seeing it because we do it so much. I think we should seriously consider utilizing more designed RPO and plays that get Sam out of the pocket against Dallas.
  21. Worst 3-0 team in history. Lets go! Looking forward to being #10 in the power rankings this week.
