  1. Brees is getting paid the same money he’s owed, the Saints are just spreading out the cap hit so they can get more space this year. This basically confirms retirement.. the question now is will they have enough cap room to sign Winston if another team gets involved, or will Taysom be the guy. For our sake I hope they pay Jameis lol
  2. This rumor has no credibility whatsoever, but it would be a homerun for the Panthers. I don’t think some of you realize how much better Jimmy G is then Teddy. Jimmy just hasent been healthy the last two seasons (which is troubling), but he is a significant upgrade imho. Jimmys super bowl season he had no weapons outside of Kittle (they had to acquire old ass Manny Sanders) and he was awesome. With what we have here the sky’s the limit.
  3. I think your just looking at his situation and saying he has to be better elsewhere he’s got all this talent. It’s the one mans trash is another mans treasure thinking that gets people into trouble. Darnold is gonna be trash no matter where he goes. I’ve seen plenty of Jets games, and I’ve seen Darnold play plenty of times. There’s not one aspect of his game that says to me wow this guy has a chance. He’s not really mobile, his deep ball accuracy sucks, he can’t read defenses well, he’s a disaster. Just look how much better the offense looked when Flacco played. Think about that, you know things are bad when it makes Flacco look competent these days. Tannehill is way more athletic than Darnold. He used to be a WR. When things aren’t going his way in the passing game he can beat you in other ways. The only positives Darnold has is that’s he’s still young, and he’s decent throwing on roll outs. That’s it, that’s what your willing to trade a second rounded for lol. A one trick pony. If you wanna throw away a 4th with hopes that Rhule can coach him up, fine but he won’t come close to beating out Bridgewater and just consider the pick wasted. Hurneys done worse. If the goal is to win a ring and inevitably beat Patrick Mahomes, or Rodgers/Brady, you really think Sam Darnold is the answer? Your lying to yourself.
  4. Jimmy G is def available, and outside of the injuries he’s a major upgrade over Teddy. I would love the move to be honest. He was 7 minutes away from beating Mahomes in the SB until there defense poo the bed. Mitch and Darnold are two of the worst QBs drafted in the past five years, I’d rather have Teddy all day than those busts let’s be real.
  5. Darnold is hot garbage, who the hell would trade a first for him lmfao. I get that he’s young buts he’s literally been the worst QB in the NFL to date. Most likely they would get a 3rd or 4th similar to the Tannehill trade if a team thinks they can turn him around.
  6. I don’t see how QBs don’t go 1-3 in this draft. The Jets and Dolphins would be stupid not to get the bounty of picks that will be thrown at them if they pass on QBs. Lawrence, Fields and Wilson will all be gone quickly. If the Panthers stay at 8 it’s Lance (who also may be gone) or Mac Jones. If you want one of these guys Rhule has to be aggressive.
  7. Panthers dodged a bullet here, and i while I think Rhule is going to be the best HC we’ve ever had, this just reeks of desperation. I do like the aggressiveness but for Matt Stafford? Even if we got Stafford we are barely sniffing a wildcard spot next season, so what’s the point? Teams with much better overall units are going all in (Buccs), Rams included, and I suspect GB will this off-season. What difference would Matt Stafford make here over the next 4 season lmfao. Draft the young guy and be prepared to ascend to the top in the next 2-3 years before getting that aggressive.
  8. I’m open to trading draft picks, even the three firsts that have been mentioned. I am not trading them any of our young defensive studs, nor am I trading CMC. McCaffrey isn’t just a RB he’s an offensive nuclear weapon and a complete game wrecker. He’s just as much a receiving threat as he is running threat. If I’m getting Watson I want Watson and CMC together causing havoc with DJ and Robby. The firsts the Rams traded are two future firsts and they will be late rounders, we are offering a top 10 this year and it’s likely next years even with Watson will be a top 15 pick.
  9. Tua has mobility that’s coveted and elite accuracy. Those did not translate year 1 but let’s keep things in perspective, he’s a rookie coming off a bad injury. Doesn’t mean he’s not a bust but the Dolphins need another year minimum to evaluate who he is. The question is how patient will they be with a roster ready to win. As for Mac, I’ve been very impressed with him. Everyone questioning his deep ball reminds me of the people who said Watson had no velocity on his throws coming out. Mac can sling it. He also stands in the pocket and delivers under pressure, I’ve seen him get the ball off with poise and a defender about to clean his clock, that’s not something that can be taught. To stand tall in the pocket like that under fire is a huge positive in the NFL where pressure is persistent. So many QBs try avoiding the hit and throw off their back foot or turn there bodies making errant throws. He also scans the field, he’s not a one read QB like so many guys coming out of college. Mac Jones may not be what’s en Vogue in the league today with mobility being coveted but we’ve seen that pocket QBs in the right system can be lethal.
  10. If the Niners are looking to dump Jimmy G the Panthers should be all over that. He’s 29 years old and as long as he stays healthy he can play really well in this league. Also seems like a natural for for this offense. I would trade a second without hesitation for him tbh
  11. I would love if somehow the Panthers could acquire Garrapolo. The fact that he has gotten hurt often is obviously frustrating, but there’s no denying the guy is a good player and a winner. I think he would be perfect in Brady’s system to be honest. He’s also only 29 I believe.
  12. For the Panthers at pick 8 and the likely scenario of improvement year over year, it would probably cost three first rounders. For a team in the top 3 like the Jets or Miami it will be less picks because a top 3 pick has more value, as does a pick this year rather than a future pick. So the Dolphins probably would have to give up both firsts this year which should get it done in my opinion. For example think of the cost it would take to move from 8 to 3 for the Panthers. It’s astronomical, so now imagine just giving that pick to Houston straight up ( even tho it technically is their pick lol). Maybe they agree to throw in a third or something additional, but the Texans need to realize they are devoid of talent at literally every area of the team. Watson is their only asset they can move to improve during this rebuild. They are going nowhere with Watson over the next 3-4 years and teams know this. The teams in the mix for Watson (Car, NYJ, Dolphins) can all easily just draft a rookie and tell Houston to eat poo.
  13. Trading a bunch of firsts is one thing. Trading young cheap players like Burns is another. You cannot and should not be including any players outside of Bridgewater in any potential deal. If you do you risk the Panthers turning into the Texans, being devoid of talent and winning 4-5 games with Watson. What good does that do? The Panthers need to be aggressive about drafting a stud rookie QB (Fields, Wilson or Lance) and going to war with them on a rookie contract. That’s how your successful in this league.. Not by trading everything for a guy who will take up a third of your cap. That’s a recipe for disaster. I’m praying the Dolphins get him honestly they are the best fit and in the best position to not gut their team for him.
  14. Matt Rhule was a stud hire, and the Panthers are lucky to have him. He is going to be make the Panthers competitive year in and year out when he’s done molding this team, I have no doubts.
  15. I’m not trading any player in any deal for Watson. It’s draft picks or kick rocks. The only player who will go to Houston in any deal is Teddy, who I don’t think Houston will mind having as their new bridge QB. We could offer potentially less picks and move up and get any QB we want outside of Lawrence without having to sacrifice Burns, DJ or CMC. Plus have a QB on a rookie contract so we could really improve this team. I just don’t see how the Panthers are in a position to make Watson work with all the holes this team still has..
