Eagles have been trying to trade Evan Mathis and could release him if no deal is found.

I like him better than Cotchery

I agree with all of this. Perriman is definitely tempting but I don't know if I can take another guy who makes drops like that. Unfortunately, drops seems to be an issue with several of these guys. I'm starting to warm up to Ty Montgomery, but just like the others, one of his flaws is drops.

Perriman's hands are worse than Benjamin's.

I still don't get why the RB position would be considered a "luxury" Stew is going to be a cap casualty soon. His deal is horrendous. And he is often injured (I know Gurley is coming off an injury too, but that's not my argument). Fozzy is the backup, which is nice, but people are falling way too in love with him. He's solid, but no way am I comfortable with him as the #1 guy if Stew goes down again. Do we have bigger needs? Absolutely. But no way would I consider RB a "luxury".

Considering that $4mil per is probably not all guaranteed, yes I would do that contract. It's only 2-years and the Dolphins can probably get out of it after one year without taking a hit. It's not a bad deal.

John Clayton was on ESPN and said Crabtree to Miami will likely be a 2-year deal for $3.5-4m per Can't wait for it to be official and this site implodes because we didn't offer him anything (I would totally take him on that deal, but it's not worth getting mad about)

This is something I don't understand either. I mean, our pass rush in the first half of the season was absent and that could be a reason. -

From what I've read, he's better suited on the outside. If he impresses during camp I'd assume Bene slides inside as the nickel. -

Off the top of my head, I don't recall us doing it much. But maybe we didn't because the staff wasn't comfortable doing it with the players we had? -

He's 6'2" and is best in press man. That's intriguing. -

To be fair, the entire Dallas defense was terrible then. He was better under Gus Bradley -

Solid pickup Ranked #40 on PFF Will provide some competition and could allow Bene to play the nickel
