Frank Reich's Intro Presser - Today, Noon EST
thunderraiden replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
He probably had no idea what they were talking about, who tf would know that carolina changed their top in the league grass field with astroturf unless they followed the team every day? -
This is the right take. Great cap in 2024 to manipulate 2023 and one QB away from a home playoff game or two.
-
FWIW Carson Strong is out of the league because of his knee, not because of his talent or lack thereof.
-
Where have I heard that before?? Oh yeah Meyers poo teammate we drafted
-
He has 20 to 30 million reasons per year to not give a damn about those 2 first round picks.

Possible London game next year at Titans
thunderraiden replied to thunderraiden's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ok even more terrible news... if the NFL is in fact teeing this up for an NFC opponent for each of the AFC clubs our chances skyrocket insanely to 40%... the Falcons can't be held to double jeopardy as if they are selected for one... they can't be selected for the other so that adds even more fuel to the fire. -
Possible London game next year at Titans
thunderraiden replied to thunderraiden's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ok so my math was way off, its 2/15 opponents not 2/8. I eliminated the Jags and Titans away games against each other as possibilities as well as the jags hosting the Chiefs since the Chiefs play in Germany. The final chances are 13.33% we are selected for one of the games. Now... if the NFL decides it has to be an AFC vs NFC game the chances obviously skyrocket but for right now its 13.33% -
Possible London game next year at Titans

Bruh I've been going to shitty Titan games after the panthers have been eliminated just so I can score some free tixs from my fiancés dad this year. I'm crushed if this happens. -
Possible London game next year at Titans
thunderraiden replied to thunderraiden's topic in Carolina Panthers
Turns out Jags are a contender as well. and they won't be playing titans and titans wont be playing them as that would just be silly so that eliminates an opponent from both. its actually a 25% chance if my math is correct (2/8 chances if both teams have a pool of 8 opponents to choose from, someone correct me if I'm wrong) that we have an away game in London next year. With the Chiefs, bills, and patriots also as potential opponents that are ineligable to play two games overseas that might even eliminate more... I'm about to do some more math... -
Titans just announced they are going to London next year for one of their home games, one of our games is in Tennessee next year. Would suck to have such a close away game moved but dem the apples.

Just dawned on me that if the Panthers do trade for SP, and if they do trade up, we won't see another first round pick for what could be 3 years potentially, as when the 2023 NFL draft starts picks for the 2026 NFL Drafts unlock to be eligible to be traded.... if we've already traded for SP by the time the draft has started and we still want one of the top 5 picks we could still be without 2 or 3 first round picks for years... the possibility is real... but SP and CJ Stroud/Bryce Young would be absolutely electrifying.

Dream Scenario: HC: Ben Johnson/Shane Steichen & Fangio as DC Trade the farm for Lamar Jackson, EXCEPT this years #9, give them every other pick this year if you have to. At #9 Get Johnston from TCU. Extend Burns before he explodes in 2023 for even more sacks. Sign Mike Gesicki in FA. Everything else I don't care about do whatever you want. On Sundays, teams now have to contend with DJ Moore, TMJ, Quentin Johnston, Foreman, Gesicki and even Tremble if he keeps developing. Defense was good enough to win a championship with a good offense, I'm sure we can make some improvements at LB and Outside with some savvy moves and we are ready to roll in 2023. And with Ben Johnson we can be sure we aren't going to play like scared chickenshits when it matters.
-
Not after the chickenshit calls against the Bucs. It was his to lose and he lost it.

Lamar could be gone……Article ahead.

We are no where near cap hell, not only is the cap incredibly easy to manipulate with a cash heavy owner, our cap space in 2024 and 2025 allow us tons of flexibility. -

This reminds me of all the "no motor" bullshit you guys scrounged up (the couple still around anyways) when first ballot hall of famer Peppers was here and you all scared him off. Then you had 15 years of our top DE being "checks notes" a coke addicted felon that's out of the league and pretended like everything was all good when Peppers came back. Fact of the matter is, Burns would be a fuging beast on a better team and the whiners would cry when it predictably happens and he takes his place in the top 3 of the league when he actually has a good team that lets him actually take pass-rushing snaps during the game. Dude has never had a team to play with a lead in his career and still produced year after year only getting better. Its hilarious how bad of a take this is.
-
Much more likely he backs up Mahome's and Andy Reid turns him into a goat 1 or 2 games a year he plays in relief when the Chiefs have the division wrapped up and we overpay him on his second contract to be our starter than Tepper thinks he's the solution right now lo

Isnt there like one in a billion chance a chest impact causes cardiac arrest? Its much more common in hockey/boxing/mma from what I've heard because its from a strike to the chest at particular nanoseconds (literally) in the heart beat process. Edit: yep https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna64020

"We should have traded Burns" - a rebuttal
thunderraiden replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
That same NFC scout told me that Burns "still has huge upside, and while his production has been good, he would really take off if his offense scored more often, to where he could pin his ears back an extra 15-20 times per game." Exactly what I've been saying, if burns is at 75% of snaps on defense and pass rushing most of those his stats would skyrocket on a more balanced team. Dude is standing up on pass rush attempts because he gets ran on and gashed if he doesn't stay disciplined, now he does. Our run d has improved tremendously over the last few weeks compared to the last two years.
