Post draft... what positions do you think we are weakest at?
thunderraiden replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I got dogpiled on twitter for suggesting this. People soon forget how having questions marks all over a position group is a negative and not a positive. The FO did as good a job as they could do, but we need one star on the WR corps at least and all we have is question marks. D hopkins can still be had. -
IM HAPPY

Charlotte angling to host a future draft
thunderraiden replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
This was assumed to be the reason Tepper didn't vote for flex scheduling thursday games, Broncos did it too. We get a draft, we approve flex scheduling and dangle it in front of the commissioner. I dont want thursday flex but looks like its in Goodell's hands now and I'm pretty sure Goodell is undefeated getting what he wants. -
That word is what internet debate relies on so its pretty useful.

Steve Smith interview with Bryce Young
thunderraiden replied to backINblack28's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's actually born and raised from NC and has the Panthers in a couple lines but I dun think hes a big fan like Steph Curry/Da Baby -
Its not him media touring, its his brands he sponsored too.

Stfu, samir is a walking two 3rd round picks, he is a genius and if you disagree you are SELF SABOTAGING!
-
Both out guards took major injuries, but the same could be said about our CBs. I'm fine with a lot of picks at 2 but that just seems redundant.

We still are very weak at NT which is vital in a 3-4. I think people should be ready for Mazi from Michigan if he's available.

Would it not be smart to keep M.C around?
thunderraiden replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
He talked all the time about his big mistake of not staying at Florida and competing since iron sharpens iron and taking the easy way out with a easy path to starting at Ole Miss. His chance to prove it. To me his concerns are the same as Young except Corral can't keep himself healthy like Young can. -
We need NT LDE WR1 OG ILB CB3 TE2 RB2 We are rock solid at QB OT OLB RDE FS SS CB1 Big Nickle C RB1 TE1 and OG when healthy. They mentioned fully converting to 3-4 next season as thats how long it takes to get all the right players in so I think they add to the NT position this spring and worry about the rest later. I also think we address WR1 next offseason unless we trade back up. In conclusion I think we trade up for a #1 WR or we sit tight and grab Mazi or the bull from Baylor.

Just for fun topic...CJ vs BRYCE playing Basketball.

This kinda stuff is great, you only get the #1 pick hopefully once every 10 or 15 years. Lets enjoy the silly stuff while we can. Thats LA Fitness, not one on campus ... hmmm -
To be fair, this fanbase has never seen Burns play with a competent offense so they really don't see what other coaches/pro scouts are seeing. They all know, and mention it frequently, if Burns was on the Chiefs, Bills, or other elite teams his sack numbers would sky rocket and his liability against the run would turn into a non-factor real quick. Edit: https://www.profootballrumors.com/2023/03/panthers-will-discuss-brian-burns-extension-after-draft Brian Burns is represented by CAA Sports, the same agency that authored Watts extension. Pucker up folks.

With the Watt deal 2 years behind us you can bet they are aiming for that deal.
