Its only two teams in the NFL that need a QB and have a pick in rounds 2 and 3. The other teams that people keep calling to pick a QB (bucs vikes) already spent draft capital in the last year on a QB. there would have been another QB picked if we had a pick in the 2nd or 3rd.
-
You also gotta look at how many of that position were picked in front of them. Part of the prob is that only three teams really need a QB and a QB would be a "kinda nice" to have for about 4 additional ones and one of them doesn't have a pick on Day 2 (us)

Yea no one taking a QB between now and 58. small chance for Indy but I have a feeling they don't wanna make the pick and piss Ryan off right after trading for him.
-
lol robby's value is a 6th round pick right now. Do any of you realize just how bad he was last year? Guess which season was the worst of his career? Even his rookie season..
-
Yeah, even Ikey said it was taking awhile for them to call him while they were on the clock. They were probably fishing for two first or two seconds and a first.

Wow Tyler Smith is Forrest Gump.

Like, I just can't make it make sense. This team knew Watson was their first choice if he became available in 2022. They had never seen Darnold play. He had been the worst starter in the league to the point his own team had given up on him. I guess giving up a second round pick.. sure you wanna protect that investment... so wouldn't you just use the franchise tag right? That $18 mill could have got us a LG and another piece along with Mariotta or Trubisky to bridge QB play. look at the Giants today. They just declined the 5th year option on Jones and said the franchise tag is still in play, thats amazing motivation and would have been great motivation for Darnold too.

Yeah but we are so fuc king putrid I would rather having the 3 top 100 picks than be 1 or 2 picks out of one blue chip player and nothing else the rest of the draft. We have wholes in run defense at Linebacker and Edge, we have holes on the entire left side of the offensive line and we obviously have holes at QB.

Later Round QBs. Is there anyone worth a look in the Draft?

Stong is perfect if we can get him a full year to rehab that knee and learn the playbook. -
He said he was dumb in the press conf. Wish someone would make a clip

Didn't someone on reddit say they saw Rhule staying at Harbough's beach house in Southport and that he thought it was because they had a deal in place depending on who drops to 6 lol -

Bob McGinn's annual draft spectacular (QB class)

I like Carson Strong in the 3rd/4th and him on the bench for a year, especially so he can fully rehab his knee and learn behind a vet like Garoppolo. -
Almost got Cole Turner for Carson (his TE from Nevada with soft hands) at pick 199 but the Jags snagged him at 198. In this scenario we still go after Garoppolo and Carson gets a years worth of rehab on his knee. This all works out to our favor because Garoppolo will take us out of the sweepstakes next year for a top QB but we have a Carson to take over next year with no rush to get him on the field in 2022.

Texans make the most sense. -
James Borrego / Matt Rhule…. Is their a worse 1-2 combo
thunderraiden replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
We stuck with ducking fry cook while MJ knows to take the trash out. Tepper knew to toss the crappy QBs but is keeping a literal man child as coach, at least promote Snow if you're gonna run it back because its obvious Snow is the only reason Rhule has ever had success. -
No blue just a sea of black and yellow incoming. I remember pre-gaming at that little shack/garage right by the stadium a couple years ago a couple hours before the game started and found myself next to a diehard steelers fan, we weren't playin the steelers. edit:i think doghouse? But i decently remember gravel on the ground
