  1. After all the work they have done to.upgrade BOA for soccer suggests it is going to be the soccer venue for the foreseeable future. The football stadium is another matter. But spending tons on stadiums doesn't seem real popular right now unless there is a real threat to relocate which doesn't seem to be likely. And he said he wouldn't be doing it by himself.
  2. At this point building a stadium anywhere seems a long shot. So honestly what you and I think is irrelevant. Frankly I think it should stay at BOA which makes my PSL potentially valuable again. I can say if they moved to Rock Hill I won't be buying season tickets or PSLs instead supporting soccer in BOA where I bought lower level seats for next year. I would buy suite seats for a few games and have fun at the new stadium but every other Sunday during the Fall? Not interested. I doubt I am alone.
  3. I wouldn't at all. One great season and a Superbowl win would be awesome but that would just raise expectations. Then to have losing seasons for the next decade. That would be awful. Honestly I would rather have winning seasons every year and lose in the playoffs and at least be in the hunt. Of course I want it all with winning seasons and a Superbowl but if I have to choose give me the consistent winner.
  4. I use Waze and it is good for pointing our traffic accidents and speed traps etc. But it estimates time as you used it assuming no obstacles, stop lights or stops and then readjusts based on traffic conditions. So no it is only accurate as you used it until you are actually driving. I had a business in Rock Hill for years driving from Shelby. I have gone 5, ,85, 161, 77 and every road in between. And Fort Mills area is a traffic nightmare and there isn't anywhere to go that isn't. And any stadium would be likely built near their practice facility off of Cherry Road near the practice facility as much or more than near Carowinds. And that is 21 miles from the current stadium or 25 minutes unobstructed. In other words 45 minutes most days and longer on game days. Why? Funneling 62 thousand folks into a stadium jams up anywhere including Charlotte. And that includes Sunday morning. A far cry from a few thousand fans coming to Carowinds a few hours after rush hour. You can shine a turd all day and it s still a turd. So is your argument. Since it won't happen I won't waste more time arguing about something that won't be happening. Why don't you acknowledge reality from people who drive that road all the time instead of trying to make an argument everyone is telling you is wrong.
  5. It was a pain in the butt to even go to a knights game and that was only a few thousand fans. Other than 77 which is terrible from the border to 485 most anytime there aren't many arteries to exit the area without stoplights or other issues. And seriously, you use a Wazes app as an accurate judge of traffic while 60 thousand fans are all converging to one area within a two hour span of time?? Those apps always underestimate your time especially to venues which always have traffic and congestion. A stadium in Rock Hill would be a terrible idea.
  6. Anyone who drove down to Clemson in the day knew that 60000 people all heading to the stadium around the same time was a disaster coming and going. It would double the normal time to drive because there were limited ways in and out.
  7. If you drive from Fort Mill to central Charlotte you know that your 14 minute drive can take more than an hour depending in time of day. 77 has terrible traffic and daily accidents. Maybe it is 14 minutes by helicopter but not in a car.
  8. Are any running backs ranked higher? If so them he might be low. If not it just goes to show how the running back position has been devalued over the past few years.
  9. My 5 bold predictions. Darnold will put up career highs in TDs and yards and his interceptions will be a career low. Brown will make the probowl. DJ not Anderson will emerge as our biggest downfield threat. The defense will go from the bottom ten in pressures, sacks, and opposing QB rating to the top 10 in all three categories. The offense is going to start slow but will bail out the defense in the last quarter of the season. (Includes Tampa twice)
  10. Nose tackles don't often get sacks but they collapse the middle of the pocket preventing QBs from climbing up the pocket to avoid the outside rush. So guys like Burns will get more sacks because QBs have to readjust as they have to retreat or move around in the pocket taking their eyes off downfield. Plus they take on doubles to give other d linemen one on one matchups. Vita Vea is considered one of the top nose tackles in the league and has 66 pressures in 3 years. In 2020 he had 2 sacks and in his 3 year career he has 7.5. Brown in his rookie year had 2 sacks and 19 pressures without much help. That puts him in line with the best nose tackles from a production point of view. Vea was selected number 12 in the first round by Tampa.
  11. There doesn't seem to be much correlation between this chart and how teams actually played. Plus it has no predictive value regarding the future. Tampa is on the below average list but they go all in in 2020 and win a Superbowl. Seattle who is below average consistently fields good teams while Washington, Atlanta and Miami suck yet are in the above average group. It isn't the.methodology that is the problem as much as it only presents the past not the present or the future and really isn't germaine to us given we have new people is all of our key roles. So posters saying this shows we will be average in 2021 because of this chart are connecting things which are only tangentially connected at best. And given teams improve through free agency as much or more than the draft, it is very limited in its value and usefulness.
  12. You could include a number of positions among those we are looking for upgrades. In fact Rhule said they are always looking to upgrade at every position if the price is right and it fits in the long term plan. I don't think any position on the defense besides perhaps corner is deep enough we won't be looking to upgrade. The same is true with the exception of receiver. I think even at qb and rb we would add a guy if the value was there. This roster will look different for sure in September particularly at depth positions.
  13. So Kevin has largely worked as a tight end coach on the offensive side. So will he be working with the defense regarding how to defend Tight ends or how to scheme against various offenses or what??
  14. Actually dude you were the only one calling Rhule a fat ass. Not the media
  15. Rhule gets paid to coach not play so his shape has nothing to do with the team. Players are a whole different issue. Their physicality is a huge concern. And Rhule is the boss so he can say what he wants especially after paying Horn a 12 million dollar signing bonus.
  16. Agree with those who say Rhule is throwing the book at him now while he has time to absorb everything between Minicamp and the start of training camp. Throw it all him and let him get further into the playbook after minicamp. If you drop back pass you go through your progressions and see your guys run the route tree. That is invaluable when you start training camp. Then you can design plays that play to the QBs strengths once he has mastered the playbook. And you can develop and expand the playbook much faster and develop plays for every receiver based on their chemistry with Sam. But if Darnold doesn't know the playbook up and down he holds back the development of the whole offense.
  17. News flash. Moton is getting left tackle money or he will play under the tag and get his payday somewhere else. I figure Rhule knows that if you're going to.pay left tackle money then why not play him there as well if he can.
  18. Don't see us going all in at this point. If we underachieve this year you might be right about next year but right now I don't see an all in season yet.
  19. We are bringing in guys and waiving them to get a look at as many guys as possible. It is likely our developmental players may not currently be on the team. A guy like Thomas isn't a developmental guy. He is either on the team as a solid choice or gone as we go a different route.
  20. That is the thing. If Gilmore wants a trade to get a multi-year big contract it sure won't be here. Now if he doesn't get traded he will sign with the Patriots for a 1 year deal and cash in next year when the cap goes way up. He is just asking for a trade to see what interest he can get from other teams. It should be interesting to see how this develops but I don't see us being a player in that market.
  21. He wasn't going to miss out on 12 million and a chance to have another 1000 yard season. With Darnold throwing the deep ball I think he might have his best season yet.
  22. With teams strapped for cash there will be lots of vets either without jobs or willing to take what they can get to stay in the league.
  23. He will make top dollar or he will play under the tag. He has the leverage and will get left tackle money given there isn't a difference between right and left tackle anymore. Or at least that is what his agent will be saying.
  24. He could be depth with the potential to start. If his contract is vet minimum or at least cheap what do we have to lose really?
