His whole career is largely a 5-0 start in the XFL where he was the star of the league. He hasn't played enough in the NFL to get much of a read on anything. His career stats in the NFL are that he has attempted 71 passes total over 2 1/2 seasons which for most starting quarterbacks usually takes 2 or 3 games. So exactly how is that enough to decide he has always sucked??

sorry I took satire for stupidity. Why would we trade for Wilson if you can get a guy like White who plays better and won't break the bank or cost tons of draft picks? If anything this shows that trading multiple first rounders is a mistake and they were wrong for mortgaging their future with Wilson to begin with.

So what if a year in the system and tailoring a game plan to maximize his strengths might make him better than he has shown up to now? As a backup you get little practice with the ones and the game plan was formulated based on Darnolds strengths not PJ. This week he will get all the reps and the gameplan will be focused on him. Now if he still sucks then you might have a point.

BTW saying our offensive line sucks doesn't mean you know anything about football. Talking about what we can do with the guys we have to make them more productive might show you do.

The Patriots like to play man and pressure you which is what teams have done effectively against us. I don't think we match up that well. Hopefully our defense can stop Mac and keep the game low scoring. That is the best chance we have to win.

So this was or wasn’t a hospital ball by Darnold?

It wasn't a hospital ball. It could have been if it were thrown higher and the receiver would have gone up exposing his body. Anderson caught it and had time to at least anticipate the hit. Let's be real here. I am surprised with Andersons physical makeup that he doesn't get hurt more. He is really slight. He is listed a 6'3" and 190 lbs. That is beanpole size. -
We won't beat NE running the ball this week. Bill always takes away what you do best. We will have to win this passing the ball as well as running.

If he keeps playing like this we will surely keep him. He likes it here already. He may give us a hometown discount to stay. After all he has made millions already. He is likely more interesting on whether he thinks we are a contender and he can start.

I promise you New England will take the run away on Sunday. So if we can't pass we won't be rushing for 200 yards. They are going to force the qb to win passing the ball.

Who says that Cam wants to be a 3 game rental which is all it would be. No he still thinks he is a starter which is why he is unsigned. He isn't good enough to be a starter but doesn't want to be a temporary fix which is all he would be at this point.

The Falcons were on a 2 game winning streak scoring roughly 30 points a game over the past 3 games. So to shut them down to 13 points was a great effort. In fact their total passing yards was Ryan's lowest total ever against the Panthers. Sure you can bitch all you want but we won yesterday by dominating time of possession and controlling the clock. Do I wish we scored more points ?? Of course but at this point a win is a win and it doesn't matter how you did it.

What I appreciate is his moving guys around to attack the play and fill gaps. There were fewer gaps and blown coverages today. Shaq made some great 3rd down stops and played well in coverage. But his hitting today reminded me of Thomas Davis. He was bringing the pain today. The defense has swagger when he is flying around.

Shaq was the biggest difference today. The interception, the tackles for loss, the tackle on Davis when he was on his way. The way he moved the defense around and did his best Luke imitation was great. There weren't the gaps and blown coverages over the middle. Gilmore is a quick study and Jackson was tough 1 on 1 but Shaq was the man today. The defense has its swagger back.

Official Panthers at Giants please God let us win GameDay thread

Actually didn't see the game. In Niagara Falls vacationing with family. Football is fun but not that important. But thanks for thinking about me. -
While I think it is still too early to determine how Darnold will eventually work out, I can understand people jumping the gun and making proclamations based on the results so far. But as you say you need to point out the whole picture and at least provide a more accurate picture of what is happening.
