I see a pattern in your thnking.....
-
PJ is getting reps because Corral isn't ready and Rhule is likely helping him audition for another team or play on the practice squad and come in an emergency. What else makes sense for McAdoo.
-
And he was a disaster why would we replicate that with Corral?
-
No you are trying to say we should do it like everyone else and I think you ignore the rest and focus on your team. There isn't just one way to do it.
-
Who follows the reps that a third stringer gets? Who cares if he sits on the bench what happens. Again why all the focus in a project. Did Greer generate pages of back and forth??
-
You are another one who doesn't get it. Baker and Darnold are getting starter reps because they are going to be QB1 and QB2 and we need 2 starters since they both have injury histories. And Corral is a project who isn't the focus with Rhule's focus on winning now. Seems obvious.
-
Again each team does what they think is best for them. Why be so dense.
-
It was tongue in cheek.......
-
Thought Pickett like Jones last year were considered the most pro ready while Corral was considered a project. Apples and oranges
-
Does Eli count.

Seems we have covered this already. You need 2 guys who can start in this league since both Baker and Sam missed games last year. And Corral is getting what he can handle. You need to be on the sidelines until you know what to do when you get on the field. The hype was great physicals but didn't operate in a prostyle offense.. They are doing him a favor bringing him along slowly.
-
I assume McAdoo is competent and can develop QBs. So if Corral is only getting so many reps it is for a reason. If you don't believe in McAdoo then nothing will make sense. And I am simply explaining what is happening not trying to defend anyone. From what I have read and seen our offense is improved and while that could change if we start really sucking, I am fine with how McAdoo is running the offense. But I want to win and prefer vets to rookies.
-
If he is the backup as you advocate then any injury to the starter makes him the starter.
-
My point exactly earlier in this thread. Corral starting would be a disaster and ensure we draft a 1st rounder at QB who would then likely take his spot. His best scenario is sit and learn.
-
You should know that every team does what they think is best for them. And that every year is completely different with different players and staff. Feel free to ask the old guy or email Rhule to see the rationale. My point in this thread has been simply to point out what seems obvious to me that others seemed so confused about. You can argue you hate the plan but clearly there is one.
-
He also isn't focused on getting Corral ready to start. Baker and Darnold are getting reps. What part of that is so hard to figure out. And McAdoo is making the decisions not Rhule.
-
He did but he also said that whatever you get you need to maximize what you do. That doesn't mean he was criticizing him because he has no delusion that Corral could start right now. Simply said what he would say about anyone. You know, 1% better every day. Maximize your opportunities. Typical coach speak.

The Corral fan boys of course.
-
Doesn't fit with the Ida that Corral is the best QB on the team and that some more reps will fix everything.
-
I think you are right. Rhules butt is on fire so his whole purpose for good or bad is to win now as far as QBs go.
-
Because Fitterer is bringing in lots of guys looking for the one. It isn't me doing it I am just telling you what is happening since you seem so confused.
-
You can't practice properly until you know what to do first. For example you can't audible if you don't know what the defense is doing and what you should do in every situation. So you watch the starters do it and learn by example. Once you have mastered that and watched then you get to do it on your own. That is why his reps are mostly mental reps. Each week he should get more reps forst mental and then physical and when he runs the practice squad he will get more.
-
Never said that. I did say he would if he tanked for draft picks. You like to.make stuff up when you can't debate on your own merits.
-
It does if you think Corral is a project.
-
I think there is hope that Corral will improve and that he will be the future. But honestly the only thing I could speculate is that he is struggling with the mental part of the game and all the practice reps don't help if you don't know what you are doing. I guess we can see what happens this week after he gets reps on Thursday and Friday and plays a lot this week.
