I might be making this up but I suspect he must-have done something reallybwrong to get fired so close to the season starting.

I met his wife at Superbowl 50. She was just coming out of the players area where she was visiting her son who was coaching for us. She saw me in my Mills jersey and came up and told me she was his wife. We talked a moment and I let her know that there were a lot of us who remembered him even 10 years later and we would surely keep pounding. I got a picture of her and I on my wife's phone somewhere.

My favorite game was in Clemson SC when we beat the Jets after Sam intercepted the toss and ran for a TD. First win ever as a franchise. What made it special was sharing it with my oldest son and my father. My son is 38 and married and my father died from Alzheimers years ago. But this was when he was still sharp and a big football fan. There have been other great moments but you always remember your first.

2022 Charlotte FC Game Thread

Bronico and Fuches were wild men seemingly everywhere exorting their teammates to keep up the pressure. I though the substitutions were right on and whatever Latanzio said at halftime lit a fire under their butts. -
2022 Charlotte FC Game Thread

I would say they learned something from the butt kicking they got on Saturday which was also 1-1 at half. It is even more impressive when you realize this is their second game in 5 days. They had the desire and drive in the second half that they didnt have on Saturday and outhussled NY to the ball. Coupled with some great goaltending it was the most impressive win this year in MLS play for Charlotte and surely their best road game yet. -
That was the whole point in putting people at different positions so you can see what substitutions work best when folks miss time which is inevitable. To build familiarity for players and for coaches to see who works best with whom.
-
Exactly. Head coaches watch everything but the position coach knows them intimately. Campen is one of the best. You know Rhule is listening to him. If bringing in coaches was Tepper's idea then Rhule knows to defer to them or give more ammunition to replacing him for not going along with the plan.
-
My take is different than others apparently. Instead of blaming Rhule for not making a decision until now I want to take to task all the whiners and complainers who went back and forth about how stupid we were for not handing him the job day 1 and instead making it a competition. So here we are before the second preseason game and Ickey is the starter as we all expected he would be. But I don't see the huge problem in doing it just like we did. Maybe I wouldn't have done it that way but that doesn't make it wrong Hundreds of posts bitching about Ickey spending his time at guard and tackle and here we are with everything settled and it is all good. Lots of complainers for what? He still has plenty of time to gel with the ones.

I think that we have better coaching throughout which will allow Rhule to let his people do their job and as a result we will do better. Does that make him competent. Depends on your definition of competence.
-
If that means he understands the playbook better I get that. But from who can move the offense and will air it out it has to be Baker. Let's see how Darnold does when New England blitzes while playing tough man press.
-
You know it was Scott "in on every deal" Fitterer. He nurtured this one for months.

Give me three players that impressed you on Saturday

Baker, Darnold and PJ. Seems to be a quarterback friendly system. -
Watch and see how it unfolds. Everyone is making mountains out of molehills
-
Look everyone knows that Baker is the man who was brought in to start. Rhule does too. So there is no other reason to work both unless you think you will need both. Baker getting the first nod was the end of the competition.
-
That assumes that he isn't convinced he needs more than one starting qb this year. How many did we use last year-3. Things that burn you recently tends to resonate more than in the past and you work hard to change it so it doesn't happen again.. Hence why he is working so hard to develop both of then. Maybe he is simply hedging his bets given half of the teams last year had more than 1 starting qb during the season.

I don't waste my time with fantasy and I don't go back and forth about who we could pick where or in what round. I don't speculate about or compare what ifs or go back and forth with middle schoolers about who is afraid to answer a question. Or call people chicken poo because they won't answer my troll questions. I learned to ignore criticism from someone who I dont value their advice. And your opinion is totally irrelevant. Later troll.
-
Scared to answer a question in a message board? Are you in middle school? How bizarre.
-
Why would I. Who says I would do things like McAdoo is doing or even agree. I can tell you the rationale without agreeing. Honestly we won't know if it is the best idea until things play out. I just wait to bitch until there is actually a reason. Unlike you who always has an opinion informed or not.
-
Again good questions for Ask Bill or email to McAdoo. Willis isn't a Panther so why should I care what he does unless we play them.
-
You assume people are holding Corral back. What if he were having difficulty getting our complicated offense down. Baker said it was different from what he has seen before and was more complicated. Maybe he needs mostly mental reps. I really don't know but no one is going to say he is struggling.
-
Corral was insurance in case we didn't get Baker and it was leverage to get a better price on Baker since drafting Corral meant we didn't need to trade for one. When we got Baker that changed the urgency with Corral and made PJ totally expendable. He is only here to share reps in camp while Corral gets things down. From what Baker said this offense is complicated. Why is it hard to believe that Corral is struggling absorbing everything that even Baker said was tough.
-
Unless the understudy was brought in to fix his bosses screw upset and the little boss was told by the big boss to let the understudy do his job or he might have his job.
-
Obviously no one knows for sure what Tepper said but we know the official line of him supporting Rhule belied the narrative he was upset and embarrassed by his mistake in hiring Rhule and the poor results. The narrative has been that football guys came in who have head coach experience to fix the football side. Guys who have strong egos and lots of experience. Why bring them in and micromanage them. If you were McAdoo would you be OC if you couldn't design and run the offense. And Rhule would be a fool to try and overrule McAdoo especially when you have failed on your own the first 2 years.
-
Answer this. If we didn't sign Baker would MC be getting more reps and would there be a much bigger push to get him developed. When we got Baker it changed everything. He will be the starter. PJ is simply insurance in the event Corrall takes longer to learn the playbook and translate it to the field. Hopefully no one sees the field beside Baker at QB
-
How many mental reps did Rodgers get behind Favre. Honestly I don't know do you?? Why is this such a big deal when likely McAdoo is controlling QB reps.
