My biggest issue is he doesn't have the tools to succeed in crunch time. When the defense is collapsing in on the QB the elite guys can take off running, or throw a laser 40yds downfield for a first down, or break a tackle to extend a play. Bryce will throw a wounded bird up for grabs, or get touched and fall down. He also seems scared to use his legs bc he knows he's one big hit away from being carted off the field. These are the reasons he gets happy feet in these moments, because he literally has no options.
These factors give the opposing defense such a huge advantage. In college he could get away with it, but it was a huge oversight not to consider these factors when we mortgaged our future for this guy. He's a borderline starter in this league. That's what we have. I'll say this for him, he's not the worst QB we've had here, but he's not close to being what we need if the goal is to create a winning franchise.
