When I say raw I’m talking about how to function in the nfl and not just QBing in general. Bryce is smart but has things to work on, if you want to see someone not worth anything watch Zach Wilson today. Bryce hasn’t looked anything like that. Allllll these QBs from this last class were raw in different aspects. I’m not making excuses for Bryce but he’s not a finished product. People get hyped on “pro ready” yada yada yada but the last “generational” prospect and Bryce sure do have some similar rookie numbers.

Because the tape is there that he can function as a QB. You can argue size and arm strength but these attributes arent deal breakers because no one cares if you can throw it 70 yards. Coaches want people to throw the ball where it needs to go when it needs to go. Right now we don’t have that set up for Bryce to do that. Bryce is super raw right now but he’s show flashes that he can work in this league. Even if his ceiling is Tua I would take that over what’s coming out of the NCAA over the next few years because the league is about to be QB starved.

Everyone (media, coaches, scouting community, etc etc) had Bryce as QB 1, this isn’t some crazy “we reached” issue. If we had taken Levis you could have argued that this was forced from someone.

This is my thoughts exactly, if you’re a first time candidate for HC and come out with demands then you better be in the Super Bowl in 3 years because the coaches that work with what they have do much better in the long run.

Can you imagine the fiasco the day that say the Steelers or Cowboys go up for sale. This league might freak out when someone can’t pay that bill.

I don’t think it would come to that honestly, Bryce isn’t being paid 250 million dollar contract and we aren’t financially tied to him like Russell Wilson.

You get to that bridge when you cross it but Young isn’t a deterrent right now. If he was playing year 2 or 3 like this sure but he’s putting up rookie numbers as a rookie.

Honestly, Zach Gelb made a point on Twitter that this might best because even though this job isn’t attractive, the hot candidates sometimes aren’t what they are cracked up to be. Find your Sirriani and forget about the Harbaughs, McDaniels, and Rhules of the cycle.

Honestly I would be ok with that, I can’t think of a coaching hire where the candidate has been picky has worked out. That’s what worries me about Ben Johnson, you’re getting hired to fix something 9 times out of 10…it’s the business get over it.

Ehhhh I get that but if you think about it he’s never been in that scenario. The mismatch ness of the operation has been kinda a cluster. plus you can’t rely on other voices sometimes We used outside to hire gettlemen, the bears did the same for poles and Eberflus…sometimes those search groups aren’t what they are cracked up to be. If I would have told you that the Bills hiring Brandon Beane was a good thing years ago you would have laughed at me. Sometimes it’s about swinging and missing which I have come to learn is part of this league if you like or not.

Don’t get me wrong Frank hasn’t done anything to warrant hate like Rhule did, I guess the way I should have warranted it was Frank’s old ways.

Cross is great for being what he is tasked to do in pass protect, I think he would have looked terrible here during the end of 2022.

I mean the huddle hates Frank and wants him gone so can you fault Tepper for firing him? It’s literally damned if you do damned if you don’t but I also think Fitt is gone too.
