This...Williams and Brown both had the same amount of tackles for a loss at year 3 which I'd rather pay attention to.

Brown is a good player and we are in an age where everyone compares contracts and the number always goes up because that is the way the NFL works these days. DL regardless of recognition is a money making spot so its going to cost money whether you like it or not. Williams contract will be pittance in 2 years compared to some other DT. Williams is being looked at as worlds better than Brown but you might want to check his numbers prior to last year...they aren't great other than the internet obsessed sack stat.
