One of the things that I’m hopeful about is Canales and Brad Idzik and their backgrounds as WR coaches. hopefully they can get some rookies and turn them into studs and hopefully fix Mingo.

They get their information from the scouts. If the scouts are pushing x dude over y dude then that’s the info the GM has. im pretty sure and correct me if im wrong but the scouting department has pretty much stayed in tact across multiple GMs no? When Hurney got fired didn’t Gettleman keep the scouts? And then Hurney came back keeping the same staff. Did Fitterer clean house after he took over from Hurney 2.0? If not then I’m even more convinced it’s a scouting issue.

Yeah there has been a fundamental break down at either the scouting process or the development stage on our WRs. There has been atleast 6-7 1st or 2nd round WRs that have been busts that we have drafted. Then you compare the amount of WRs other teams have drafted in the later rounds that have been studs there is something we are doing wrong.

Is there any hope for TMJ? It has to feel like a lost cause at this point right?

In a year where Jefferson and Cupp missed multiple games, Jamar didn’t have Burrow majority of the year, Adam’s was playing with a rookie Aiden O’Connell. There are 20 guys that are better than him straight up. Hes in the McLaurin, Godwin, Kirk, Ridley range. He’s a high end starter but he isn’t even sniffing the conversation of Jefferson, Chase, Adams, Hill, Cupp, St. Brown, Lamb.

Moore isn’t even a top 15 receiver in the league. Probably in the 20-25 range. That isn’t a hot take.

So Gronks numbers don’t count cause he had Brady and McDaniels? I don’t buy that line of reasoning.

It was a shitty situation for sure, but there is enough blame and accountability that they all gotta hold.

Tony has better career stats right now but I think Travis catches him when it’s all said and done. But what isn’t a question is the post season stats. I don’t think there has been a single more dominant TE than Kelce and the numbers prove it. one less game than gronk and already has passed him in numbers. If he adds one or two more rings it’s no even debatable.

I hope we are a good team. Listening to Canales philosophy it sounds like they will do whatever puts them in the best position to win and they aren’t going to be dead set on anything. But the rules as they are right now benefit passing the football. So yes I hope we use those rules to our advantage and not run just for the sake of balance. but if that sounds disastrous to you then idk what to tell you.

It’s important for culture to keep these legends around the building if possible.

Olsen is a panthers legend for sure but at this point is it even arguable that Kelce isn’t the greatest TE in NFL history? If he gets another ring this year he will have one less than gronk but his numbers are straight up better besides total touchdowns. If Kelce plays for 2-3 seasons he will surpass gronk on that one too.

You do realize under center play has been steadily decreasing league wide right? It’s some like 70%+ of all offensive snaps where taken from the Gun and that number raises each year. It was at an all time high this year. Most teams have less than 30% under center snap rate with teams like Baltimore operating nearly exclusively out of the Gun. 3, 5, and 7 step drops are becoming a thing of the past.

I can 100% assure you this is my only account. I saw this site get mentioned over on the Panthers subreddit and lurked for a while for that leaky_faucet guys info and the coaching search but got really tired of reading the really poor Bryce bashing takes. Seems to be a trend that if someone disagrees with someone around here and they are new people just claim they are other posters to dismiss them? Thats weak sauce if you ask me.
