Well this thread went to sh*t 6 hours ago and still the nonsense continues on. Season can’t start soon enough. The off-season has been brutal on this board

Most likely. I liked the upside of Lance more than Wilson. And both could turn out to be great QBs. But it’s more likely both fail than succeed. Certainly early in their careers. They’ve just not ever played NFL level competition. Many QBs have made that jump with great success (Brees being a prime example) but that’s an all in move. If I had to bet on one, give me Lance

Yeah. Sports without salary caps that are limited only by financial FairPlay restrictions. I could educate you further but I think I’ll just ignore you now.

He’s 26. You are a reactionary moron lol
-
Exactly. It really makes little difference to us unless we are spending a 1st on the guy to be a cornerstone to the franchise. As for everyone else, especially 3rd round and later, five solid years is probably beyond what you would typically hope for
-
Maybe we should draft 12 year olds so we can start developing them even earlier and be sure to get the most possible playing time out of them... Yeah he’s older. He was a 3rd Rd pick a far worst should develop into a starting level G in a season or two. I know your whole gimmick is the resident troll, but is it possible for you to not overreact just once or are you too mentally immature to have a single adult conversation?

You are there and much more in the know than I am, but it seems to me he isn't in Rhules plans as a LT. Sounds like the hope for him is a good Pass Pro RT as Rhule has mentioned his arm size and Moton going to LT. I think if Christensen is there next year, he goes to RT and Moton moves over to the left.
-
I genuinely did not understand the people gushing of Wilson in this place. He has arm talent for days and thats what everyone fell in love with, but thats just about it right now. We had people saying we should trade three future firsts for him lmao. What nonsense.
-
I was on the Kai train with our first pick until Bouknight fell. He will take time but he could be the perfect big to pair with Melo and a fast break offense. Can run and leap effortlessly.
-
Well that is disappointing to hear but not all that surprising. I assumed he would at least play G for us this season but I am still happy with the Christensen pick. NFL is a massive jump from BYU (Zach Wilson will learn this the hard way) and I still believe there is a lot of upside in pass pro once Christensen gets up to speed. Maybe it takes him a year or two. As long as he is coached up and gets there, thats fine.

Now I know you are lying. We don’t practice that poo Lol you won’t be missed Teddy.

How much preseason time should Darnold play?
TheMostInterestingMan replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
He needs to play a lot. I understand the fear in getting your starters hurt in meaningless games but the reality is if we can’t keep him healthy in a few preseason quarters then this season is a wash anyway. Get the man his reps -
Hopefully. I don’t know if this works out or not but I do support the move. I think it was a good trade and allowed us to theoretically upgrade two needs. But Darnold has to work out and he honestly has to do so this season.

The Good Ole Waiver Wire - Your Friend and Mine

TE still? After signing Arnold and drafting Tremble? I’ve heard positive things about them from camp so far. And assumed with Thomas as the 3rd TE on the depth chart we were pretty good to go there -
Tremble going to be the “Fullback”?
TheMostInterestingMan replied to Cdparr7's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t disagree with that. But the way I interpreted this post is would FB be his position. And considering the rarity we ever even line up with a FB, I think it’s safe to say he’s a TE. And I believe he was drafted to be out TE2. I do think we will see him line up as a FB but I wouldn’t call him one. -
Tremble going to be the “Fullback”?
TheMostInterestingMan replied to Cdparr7's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well there’s no way we drafted him in the 4th rd to be a FB. I could see him getting snaps there with his skill set, but make no mistake about it. He’s a TE. -
Deshaun Watson? Yes? No?, or Meh?
TheMostInterestingMan replied to iamhubby1's topic in Carolina Panthers
I didn’t want him before the allegations came out against him because I just don’t believe in giving up that much draft equity for a single player. I’m certainly not interested now. -
Philip Rivers might be available…
TheMostInterestingMan replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
Some here do genuinely seem unable to accept that sometimes a QB loses arm strength with age and/or injury. There are still people claiming Cam will win another MVP. At this point I imagine it’s more in jest, but I think some really do believe he can return to the Cam of old. The arm is just gone. Pitt will learn this lesson with Big Ben the hard way this year. They just don’t last forever. It’s hard to move on but that’s just life. -
This looks so clean and easy, but thats the point.

What state are you in? You can DM me if you like haha -
"There will be repercussions"
TheMostInterestingMan replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, they would respect him at more if he just let the give each other concussions and brawl during practice, amirite? -
The will be the partial fallacy in comparing the trade though. It isn’t just Fields vs Darnold. It’s Fields vs Darnold + Horn. Let’s say Fields comes out and puts up good rookie numbers. Let’s say he throws 23 TDs and rushed for 3 TDs and has 14 turnover. That’s a great season for a rookie QB. If Darnold comes out and throws 20 TDs and 12 turnovers but our defense is elite due in large part to the fact our secondary can jam WRs at the line giving our pas rush that extra second to get to the QB, then where does that put us? Many on here will simply compare Fields to Darnold. But it’s Darnold + Horn as a collective that we should be comparing
-
I don’t actually know the details on this trade but the way they often work is like first year lottery protected, 2nd year top 10 protected, 3rd year top 8 protected and then they keep the pick if we never get it in that time frame. I don’t know if that’s the situation in this case but that is often how these tend to work out
-
Well. We probably wouldn’t have Chinn or Marshall because we almost certainly would have had to trade those picks away.

Panthers Week 1 opponent top 2 QBs yet to practice
TheMostInterestingMan replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t either. He has a good arm no doubt, but he didn’t play great competition throughout his college career and while he may have an alright pro career, it’ll likely take him time to get up to speed in the league
