  1. I’m just of the mindset Rhule won’t be here after this year. So if we can grab a future first then I’m very on board.
  2. I agree with that for sure. If we could add a 2023 1st I would like it even more. I don’t want Rhule fingerprints on this team anymore than they already are.
  3. Lol you are giving me an edge lord vibe. I think we are all allowed opinions here and differing opinions don’t inherently make someone stupid. Have a good one man. There was no hostility directed at you lmao
  4. Tell that to the Browns, Lions, Jags, Jets, Bills (pre current regime) Dolphins, Raiders… do I hope you are right? Of course. But I think the Bengals overnight success has everyone forgetting that some teams take decades to get back there. Especially those with incompetent owners/front offices
  5. I don’t think we WILL but I can’t say I think we shouldn’t. We are once again cap strapped, with no offensive line, losing Reddick, no QB and likely a new coaching staff coming in next season. CMC hasn’t stayed healthy in two years and thinking he can be our offense again for a whole season sees based more on optimism than in reality. I respect your opinion so I won’t say “you don’t get the situation” but I certainly disagree with your position here. I just don’t see it.
  6. I think it honestly comes down to this. Do you think the Panthers could be in the playoffs in the next 3 years? Do you think CMC will still be the superstar he is in the next 3 years? If you answered yes to either then I think you are thinking too highly of where we are at currently. If you answered no to both then I think the obvious solution is salvaging a first while we can still get it and letting CMC have a shot somewhere. CMC won’t be here by the time this team is playoff bound again and if he is he’ll be a shell of himself. It isn’t good to trade your young stars in a rebuild. But trading vets that won’t be here when we right the team makes a lot of sense.
  7. That is quite scary. And I was foolishly excited about Rhule when we landed him. But I can't imagine how I would justify defending him now.
  8. Who is "ya'll" and who here is still actively backing Tepper and Rhule? Lol We all agree that this team has been run terribly since Tepper stepped in. But holding on to CMC just to miss the playoffs for the next three years seems kind of silly when we could start adding assets for a rebuild that essentially has to happen before we can have success again. I don't want Rhule drafting a QB. I don't want Rhule here at all. But I did say when he came in it was time to tear it al down and rebuild. We didn't. We thought we could "win now" and that is EXACTLY why we are still in the same position we were when he got here. We need to break this thing up and finally start over. And adding 1sts and making cap space is a good start towards that.
  9. Well thats a fair point, in which case we just need to pull the trigger if the offer is on the table.
  10. Honestly, I don't disagree with you. If we get a 1st for him its really a best case scenario that we are pulling off. But that said, I could see a team like the Bills feeling like that are a CMC type player from being simply unstoppable on offense and thinking if he stays healthy then he can help them outscore everyone on their way to the SB.
  11. That is sadly a possibility. But realistically what do we think we will be achieving here with CMC in the next three years? And with his workload and injury history, do you actually think he could stay a dominate player in four years from now? The reality is it sucks to move on from a player like CMC knowing damn well we will likely end up getting a younger but lesser talent in return. But at some point, you just have to cut your losses, get what you can and accept it. We aren't winning anything while CMC is in the league. Might as well get a 1st for him while you can. It's sad, but its the way it goes. See Kemba Walker.
  12. Its possible if its a late pick to a title contender but it would also mean we are paying for a large chunk of CMCs salary as well. We aren't going to get away with dumping that massive contract for a 1st. But if there is a team on the cusp, I could see getting a 1st and paying for a lot of his remaining deal.
  13. honestly a fire sale for a plethora of future picks for a new HC to entire next season with. Play young guys, get them reps. Got rocked all season and start a proper rebuild that should have started the year Rhule got here.
  14. That’s not true. I’ll come. Pay me twice what Rhule got and I’ll start tomorrow.
  15. Well for me, that would kind of be the ideal scenario. Draft a guy that could be an anchor at C but not add any wins this season. Next year has a few really promising QB prospects. I don't want to add wins. I want to build up the line this season and have it ready to go for our QB of the future next year. Now I don't have any confidence in the franchise to show that kind of patience or foresight anymore, but that is my ideal scenario. If we could trade with someone, add a 2023 pick and get Linderbaum and add 0 wins to out outcome this season... thats the dream, honestly.
  16. This is my thinking and why I am sadly okay with it. Rhule wont be here after this season. He should have already been sent packing. But now we need to start preparing for a full on rebuild under a new regime. It's time to add 2023 picks and use whatever picks we have in this draft to start addressing the line.
  17. I am massively on the Stroud train. That guy is going to be a stud.
  18. Most had Darnold ranked #1 so considering he correctly had Allen as the #1 and Jackson as the #2 is pretty impressive
  19. I dunno about that. I like them and was really rooting for them but they were punching way above their weight. Don’t get me wrong, they are a good team and Burrow is an amazing QB but I honestly won’t be surprised if they don’t make the playoffs next year with a healthy Baltimore roaring back in the division.
  20. I'll be surprised if that doesn't happen. That is sadly my expectation.
  21. We’ll the principal is the same for me. I don’t know how the chart grades the values well but in this case, would you be willing to make a move like this? I would absolutely be willing to move down 20 spots and add a 1st and 3rd next year. I feel that protects the future and still gives Rhule a first to hopefully begin the Oline improvement this season
  22. I really appreciate that. And sadly I agree. This ship is sinking. Rhule cannot save it. But I actually still have some faith in Fitt to be honest. You think it would be a full house cleaning or would he survive the staffing purge that’s looming over us next year?
  23. No, you read that right. I would be. If we could get more, I would prefer that. But I don’t trust Rhule to make the most of this pick and I fear he could trade this pick for another QB bandaid or draft another defensive player as crazy as it sounds. I just have very little faith in his ability to evaluate talent. So yeah. I would rather trade this pick for a 3rd this year and a first next year for our new HC. It gives the next guy the ability to move up and keeps us from taking a Kenny Pickett or some other head scratcher. ultimately I just want to keep Rhule away from doing any more damage. Would rather the next HC have more tools to rebuild with than give Rhule any more ammunition to shoot ourselves in the foot yet again.
