  1. I wish we could put the trading away future 1st picks to bed. If we trade up to say the 1st pick, you better believe we are trading away our soul for the next 2 or possibly even 3 drafts to come. Remember, Justin Fields was selected with the 11th pick. There's a chance CJ Stroud could fall to the 9th pick for us. (For those who want him. I certainly wouldn't be against him if he is available) If he's not there, I wouldn't be against drafting Anthony Richardson or Will Levis. One of those guys will be available at 9.
  2. Is CJ Henderson still under contract? Is Keith Taylor? Let them go. Who else need to go man!!! We need to clean house at some positions.
  3. Well, he is kind of whining through his lawyer. I don't really appreciate Carolina being looked at in the discrimination lawsuit angle of things. Not that I'm a pom pom guy for these owners, I actually hate the ownership aspect of sports. Yet when it comes to this situation, it's bogus. Heck, even if Tepper had something against Wilks personally, the actual decision of letting Wilks go was the right decision in football terms.
  4. My biggest problem with the Payton discussion, would be the fact we would have to give draft pick compensation. Payton ain't worth that. Let's be real, Payton was lucky enough to have Drew Brees. Look at what Bellichick has done since Brady left. ZILCH!!!!!!! As a matter of fact, why would anyone in their right mind trade for an aged coach? What QB has Sean Payton developed from the ground up? Taysom Hill? LOL!!!
  5. Giants need to give Barkley more touches.
  6. If by a miracle he hits the open market, I believe he should/would be our number one target to bring in.
  7. They can franchise him, but he could play hardball. I think when it comes down to it, with Barkley also being a free agent, they will tag Jones because of the position. However if they do, they would have to pay him over 30 million, and would eat up half their cap space. Such a move would certainly see Barkley hitting the open market.
  8. We could see Barkley break records today.
  9. Yeah I wouldn't give up our first round pick. We need a QB more than we need a coach, in my estimation. Of course if we don't draft one this year, that may mean we're expecting Darnold back.
  10. You'd still rather have Carr over Jones? Of course it's probably moot. The Giants would have to be extremely foolish to let him walk.
  11. Can we trade Donte Jackson for Asante Samuel Jr. straight up?
  12. Man, I'm looking at Ben Johnson's credentials, and really the only thing I'm seeing is his success with the Lions this year. Hats off to him with the overall job he did, but let's be real, it's not like he tore the league wide open. His team did finish around 500. Yeah I would have to see a little more offensive success than just this one year. I've also seen people wanting him majorly because of that Packers game. Come on, Aaron Rodgers is on the down side of his career with the Packers. If that were the old cats, the Lions would have been washed.
  13. I'm good on Carr. Does he have skills? Yes. Yet at the end of the day, I think he's peaked and is on a downhill trajectory. Perhaps that actual QB we should be looking at, and I'm surprised to be thinking this way, is Daniel Jones.
  14. I wish we were in a real division this year. People keep talking about the job Wilks did, but fail to realize every last team in our division was in it until the last two weeks. Going 500 is mediocre talk.
  15. Give me Ken Dorsey all day. Everywhere he's gone, it's been magic. Namely his years with Cam, and now Josh Allen. I believe Ken Dorsey is the majority reason why Buffalo is doing their thing. People don't realize how raw Josh Allen was in his first year. Then overnight, Dorsey made him a superstar.
  16. (Sorry for the double post, can't edit my op anymore) Can someone answer this question for me. I've read the opinions in other threads on the forum. It definitely appear we have people who would be cool with Wilks as head coach. Now I'm not the opinion police, and certainly agree all are equal. There's no right nor wrong in that category. However, I'm going to dig a little deep here. How on earth can you support Wilks after that lost? Realize we lost that game because we gave up not one, not two, THREE MAGIC BOMBS FROM THE HEAVENS TO MIKE EVANS!. Plays that could have easily been avoided by the simplest adjustments that a grade school coaching staff would have made. How do you support that kind of incompetence?
  17. I would definitely take Ken Dorsey. Him and drafting Anthony Richardson sounds like a superbowl appearance would be on the horizon.
  18. Someone's knocking at the door... Somebody's ringing the bell... Someone's knocking at the door... Somebody's ringing the bell... Do me a favor Open the door Let 'Em In!!! (Opens the door....................Steve Wilks is standing there) SHUT THAT MOTHER F'CKING DOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, I don't see how anyone would want to see this guy back when he (and this team) outright gave Tampa Bay that game, effectively ending the season. (Let's not mention the pathetic lost to the Steelers). Now, I hear the idiotic mainstream sports media all jumping on the Wilks bandwagon. People who don't really know Panther football. Saying he deserves the job simply because we got a few wins in a putrid division. (They seem to forget that part) Now, does Wilks deserve a HC job? I would say yes. Just not here!!! I've seen enough. Also, in spite of the reports saying he's not anyone's buddy concerning the team, I think he most certainly is a lot of player's friend. This team needs a swift kick in the A*S*S* after that loss. We need an overhaul at some positions. I don't need to see CJ Henderson back next year, I don't need to see Keith Taylor back, I'm thinking we might need change at the TE position, basically changes Wilks is not capable of making. If he was capable of making changes, he would have made a change in game to stop Brady from throwing those bombs to Evans! Out! Out! Out! This dude needs to be out! The longer he's here after the season is over, the more bothered I'm probably going to get. With names like Sean Peyton, Jim Harbaugh, heck, possibly even Mike McDaniel on the market, I would be utterly shocked if Tepper remained with Wilks. I would rather see this team thrown into a black hole, forever buried and never see light again. All that said, I'll wait and see what this team does. On a personal note, I don't think Wilks has a ghost of a chance. He would have had to made the superbowl in order to have a chance with Tepper. I have no insider info on that, its just the feeling I have concerning Tepper. He begrudgingly got rid of Rhule after that foolish contract he gave him, so I'm betting he's ready to burn the whole thing to the ground. We have a stable offensive line. We have a solid defense with young guys. All we need is a capable QB, a capable 2nd corner, and I wouldn't mind seeing us get a capable ILB to sure up that core.
  19. That scenario would make me want to get rid of Wilks even more.
  20. In terms of a top 3 pick, if we could use it to trade back, I would see it as more valuable. I thought this year would be a great QB class, but not so much now. I'm not a believer in CJ Stroud, and the Alabama QB is too small. Overall, I'm good with wherever we end up. (late top 10 or top 15). Where we really screwed up was not trading away Brian Burns.
  21. The only way we win against NO, in NO, is if they tank. With that said, there is no way Wilks comes back next year. Tepper don't give a crap about what they (the players) think. Wilks' only shot was a deep playoff run.
  22. All that Josh Norman buzz, only for one measly play?
  23. The 4.5 guy has heart. (At least today he does. Hadn't done anything all year until today)
