  1. Just look at the pie ratio almost everyone agreed until it got closer to the draft and the Bryce media hype train started to gain traction I think when it became clearer that we were going to draft Young a lot of people here started convincing themselves he was the right pick. To the point where most people were hard core Bryce stands (seemingly) right before the draft. And now that's backfired.
  2. Rookie year I won't be anything besides disappointed with poor performance. But it would be nice to see him put together some complete games (ex 2-4 tds, no ints or fumbles, 300 yards passing). If he can't play a good clean game even once this year I'm gonna be fairly negative by the end of the year but not "out " on him 2nd year, if he continues to consistently underperform, I'd probably be mentally done with him halfway through that season. Def by the end of it. I kinda wish we could do a goff/rams senario where he sucked with Jeff fisher but ripped it up with mcvay and promptly out dueled mahomes one year and went to a super bowl soon after. We need a mcvay instead of a Reich. And a real gm to get Bryce some help. And tepper needs to let actual football people manage the team and go do other billionaire poo. That might be the biggest problem in the last few years since he bought the panthers. The only common denominator amongst all this 5 to 6 years of losing has been David Tepper.
  3. You're just nut hugging if you repeatedly deflect all blame from Bryce it's getting old. The circumstances around him aren't the best. But he sure as hell hasn't been doing much to elevate the talent around him. The best qbs like mahomes and Brady do that. That's why you see new England shitting their pants right now. Sorry ass qb play. His untimely turnovers in particular were back breakers in at least 3 out of his 4 games
  4. I laughed at the "deep throat " WR part lol
  5. Almost all of those need context. Just looking at numbers Bryces look decent for a rookie. But how many of those tds came late in games when the opposing defense was playing looser to prevent big plays, and how many of those ints came at crucial moments in the game that let the other team run away with them momentum and the game? And it doesn't include his fumbles either And ton of his passes are completed near or at the Los. Something more useful would be a breakdown of completion percentages from specific throwing yards ranges Just glancing at those numbers you might give him a B or something as a quarter season report, but using the eye test he's played like a C or D in critical moments.
  6. I think that Reich mainly accepted the job not because it was the most ideal spot but he simply needed a job and I'm guessing there weren't a ton of other teams who were willing to hire a coach that got canned mid season for Jeff Saturday to be the interim coach. It's possible tepper told him ahead of time in the interviews that he was a "hands on" owner and frank just took it anyway.
  7. Those are the worst type of jobs when you got a boss just hovering over you the whole time telling you what to do. Big reason I switched careers few years ago.
  8. Sounds like tepper is still meddling and probably is a big reason why we've never fully committed to a rebuild. Christ.
  9. If any of yall remember school... having a bunch of red marks on your paper usually means you failed Fitterer, hurney 2.0, and rhule were collosal bumfugs in the draft And that's not even considering that 2023 draft might be the worst of all time especially if we end up giving Chicago Caleb Williams while Bryce is Medicore at best
  10. I think Dak had a worse day than Bryce did
  11. Yeesh Dak has 1 td 3 ints meanwhile Purdy when 4 tds 0 ints It's going to be entertaining listening to undisputed and first take this week
  12. I think Dak kinda bamboozled them by overshooting his draft position by being a decent game manager while zeke was in his prime first few seasons and they had an incredible offensive line. Dak always gets exposed when he goes against upper echelon defenses because he was never a top 10 level QB. Cowboys fans are frustrated because they've already seen his ceiling repeatedly that's why they just can't get passed the 49ers
  13. Pretty much. He would get traded or released if they do end up with a top 5 pick with their own 2024 first round selection I'd imagine. Unless they end up going on a tear and win several games. Then I think they'd probably draft Harrison JR to pair with DJ
  14. A lot of cowboys fans have been jaded at best with Dak for a while now. There's a reason why they picked up trey Lance out of the blue
  15. So was Bryce and then cj stroud really. So are you trying to say Bryce was basically sandwhiched in between two much better qbs?
  16. What's your point here? Bryce was a first pick and Purdy was Mr irrelevant in his draft. Expecting the panthers to hit on a late round qb like that would be bonkers. It's statistically improbable and possible never happened in franchise history.. I'm not saying Purdy = Brady but the odds were similarly long for both I'd think. The 49ers got incredibly lucky with Purdy bc they traded away way more capital than we did for Lance. That and the 49ers are just a much better team in general with better coaching and drafting. Maybe comparing the two teams isn't too meaningful
  17. Our starting most experienced MLB is out, starting safety is out, and both starting CBs are out. Also those early turnovers didn't help lol Also Detroit just has a good offense in general Early turnovers fuged them mostly Detroit basically put the game away early scoring off bryces ints and sanders fumble.
  18. Until the media wave that pushed Bryce and put cj down with that campaign of negative news about him. Most people wanted cj until they got on the hype train basically
  19. I thought you almost banned me in the off season for saying I didn't believe in Bryce after we drafted him
  20. Pretty much this. Wake me up when Bryce makes good throws in the first half of games
  21. I think the best perspective I can take on Bryce right now is, it doesn't look good so far but 3 games isn't a large enough sample size to make any hard judgements. The NFL off season is so long and adding the fact we're missing a first rounder? Were going to have al the time in the world to over analyze his performance of his rookie season. I think a full year is a reasonable sample size to really critique and analyze
  22. That Stat is almost meaningless when so many of his throws are 5 yards or less. The problem is he just almost doesn't even try to throw down the field. Many have blamed the o line and Reich but we saw a so called washed backup qb do it vs Seattle with the same players mostly If we keep seeing these stupid ass screens that don't work despite us being 0-4 going on 0-5, then there is some sort of very serious problem with either Bryce being way too risk averse or with Reich making him be that way through playcalls. Prob really a mix of both.
  23. I've been watching film analysis videos of panther games and some plays Bryce has quite a while to throw. He just doesn't see dudes down field or chooses not to throw to them sometimes. He could also be checking out of some longer passes . So it's not 100% playcalling.
  24. That's not an excuse to attempt almost 0 intermediate or long ish throws. I've seen them hold blocks for long periods of time on some plays I'm literally counting the seconds Bryce has to throw. They don't immediately fold in 2 seconds every passing play.
