I'm really suprised they didn't trade up with all the talent that fell from 20 to 31 The board is a lot more barren now after that late run. Best available for me now are probably BJ Ojulari, Michael Mayer, Jonathan Mingo/Jalen Hyatt, Steve Avila/Ocyrus Torrence, Drew Sanders I'd personally roll with BJ, Mayer will be gone quick. Panthers could very easily get a OG or a CB purely on injury concerns at those positions. I think not trading up for any WRs showed they're not particularly worried about drafting one high. I think they trust the dudes they picked up in free agency and the 2nd round pick is most likely to be defensive

So Bryce and CJ went 1 and 2. They will forever be compared to each other, hopefully we picked the right guy.

Colin Cowherd high low QB comparisons. Bryce Young low is Jonny Manziel, High is Tua (how the fug is Tua a high )

I'm trying to mentally prepare myself to accept Bryce. Picking such a tiny QB just makes me nervous. Not doubting his skill or intelligence I just hope he can stay healthy. The only pick I'd truly be upset with is Will Levis. I'd love Stroud, I'm okay/fine with Bryce or AR. But it really should not be Levis for any reason.

I'm truly curious to what the Texans do might dictate the rest of the draft

They seem to hate spending extended periods of time talking about the panthers on any non local TV show I watch. Even with news stories that directly involves the panthers like the trade up with the Bears, the Bears got like 95% of the discussion

These measurements look pretty similar and look at rating too obviously Wilson looks thicker but Bryce never wore those combine tights

Why wait until late April? Wtf Without burns our defense will be a dumpster fire we've been really lucky generally he's been mostly healthy for so long until this cropped up

That's definitely not a sexy draft Not really a fan of any of those picks. I really don't want a CB at pick 2 seriously it's like we're picking out of fear of injury vs bpa Get a player to help your undersized QB on offense or get a pass rusher to compliment burns .

Im not sure that a team who traded up to 1 ever traded down after that correct me if I'm wrong though We really won't know which qbs will work out for a good while. History consistently tells us is at least some of them will be busts or average ish Sort of encouraging is the last few times there was a qb taken 1 overall who most had consistently agreed should go #1 overall they've been working out I don't think Baker or Kyler had the consistent level of praise Bryce is getting right now but Burrow and Lawerence did iirc.

At this point I'm kinda sick of all the Bryce predictions. I kinda want to see the meltdowns if he isn't the pick

He's gonna have to prove it to me I'll gladly eat my words if he does I feel like generally everyone's going to be watching how kyler, Tua, and Young turn out. If they all flame out its going to be a huge indictment on smaller qbs If Young is wildly successful it's probably going to open the floodgates for a ton of smaller qbs

This and what he mentioned is why I can't get overly excited about Bryce Young. At best I'm anxiously optimistic because I kind of have to be. I have no idea if all that dancing he does in the pocket will translate in the NFL either. Baker and Kyler had stronger arguments than Young does bc of arm strength and mobility respectively. There's been a ton of smart QBs that became coaches because they didn't have the physical abilities to go along with it.

Cam literally revived my dying interst in football after the 2010 season. Every game in 2011 I was on the edge of my seat screaming and clapping and cursing at my TV in college I'm nowhere near as excited about Bryce. I'm more anxious and hopeful vs me just being 100% ready to kick ass with Cam from the moment his name got called. Bryce has a lot to live up to and we really shouldn't expect anything less out of a #1 overall pick.

None of those are realistic but its so fun trading down This might be my most balanced/realstic one. Addressed a diversity of needs position wise and cut down that massive gap between pick 2 and 3. Got our original 3rd round pick back from the patriots
