  1. Fitterer also had that mentality and it didn't get us anywhere
  2. We've played 6 games, so about 35% of the season has passed already. I know it's early but this class already looks more promising than 2023, which might have been the worst draft in panthers franchise history. Legette looks pretty good, he looks explosive. Maybe he hasn't gotten huge bombs yet but he's demonstrated that he's strong and fast with the ball and is a nice red zone target. He's probably gonna get something like 500 yards 5 or 6 TDs by seasons end, which is pretty decent for a rookie WR on a bad team. He's basically what the Panthers thought Mingo would be last year. Brooks obviously hasn't played but he could turn this rookie class into a slam dunk if he's good. I'd expect him to get sprinkled in to the later half of the year, but don't expect him to get a ton of carries with Chubba running so well and Canales apparent aversion for running the ball. Wallace has been a pleasant surprise. I haven't been watching him super closely, but I like his tackling ability and high motor. JT Sanders has been okay ish. Not so sure about Smith Wade or Crumedy. I know Barrett was traded to Seattle. We very very rarely hit on 4th to 7th rounders historically. So even getting a solid role player out of any of these dudes would be a huge win.
  3. I wasn't specifically watching them but this looks encouraging
  4. Would you really be willing to throw a blank check at Diontae Johnson tho for example? Could backfire badly and you let him walk for free. They should sign him literally right now because he'll just get expensive in the off season. Or just decide to go elsewhere if we keep losing. Would you pay big bucks to Chubba and Diontae and Horn??? I doubt we keep all 3 realistically.
  5. Bit early for this question but we can all see how this season is trending. I thought this would be an interesting question. What would you personally do at QB in 2025 off-season? And what do you think the Panthers would do? I would draft almost all defense and get a reasonable vet QB like Flacco or keep Dalton for the cheap. And keep building the team until we've demonstrated that were a playoff ish caliber team and ready to get a QB. And ideally we'd sit that QB like Packers do. What I expect. Is Canales will be pressured to get a QB in 2025. Maybe not in R1 but he could easily take one in R2 or R3. Especially if the QBs this year aren't expected to rank highly on draft boards (similar to the Pickett/Corall draft). He'll probably get his vet qb of his own choosing this off season as well. What Minnesota is doing is interesting because Darnold is a Free Agent after this year. Either Darnold could come available or they keep him and trade off JJ McCarthy possibly.
  6. The real question is whether Chubba gets resigned in the off season or not... Would be nice to sign him to a reasonable deal and pair him up with Brooks for the foreseeable future. But IDK if he's taking any discounts or even wants to come back to Carolina. This might be the only off season where he can get a real bag and I doubted that would be coming from the Panthers after drafting Brooks. Our priority this off season will probably be locking Horn and possibly Diontae Johsnson up imo.
  7. I'm curious as to what you think about this. You think we trade off any players before the deadline if we keep losing? Or will we be quiet and just sit on the draft picks we have. If you think it will happen, who will be traded and for what value? We currently have 9 draft picks. The 2nd rounder from the Rams is looking pretty good right now. Most of our draft picks are mid-late rounders though.
  8. Best thing about the game was that 2 Minute drive before the half. JT Sanders, Legette, Coker. That gave me some encouragement for the future
  9. forgot about that. was part of an 8 player bet. I hit on 7/8 chase wouldve been #8. Still getting aprox 9x payout of what i bet. But i wouldve gotten a 97x payout off of my bet amount if chase wouldve got 4 more yards receiving!! basically the difference between winning $900 vs $9000 . i think based on all my bets this weekend, its like a 2x multiplier.
  10. and Chase had the over in the last 3 games and ends up 3.6 yards short in this game. insanity. its like they know you're trying to use logic/trends and the poo that defies the logic happens at the worst possible time he'll probably go for like 200+ the next game while people try to bet the under lol the sports books knew exactly what they were doing when they put that 75.5 number there. because the dude got barely under that. I got screwed by the Giants just sitting on the ball for most of the 2nd half but not scoring. So the Bengals just sat on a slim lead and that was that
  11. fug me man. 4 yards short. its over. Chase didnt get a single catch in the last quarter and a half its almost like the sports books told the damn teams to let the giants just sit on the ball the whole 2nd half so he couldnt get any more receiving yards.
  12. How did Chase not even get 1 target on that drive. fug ME! 4 fuging receiving yards man!!
  13. I need 4 more receiving yards from Chase to win a poo load of money. Come on bro you can do it!!
  14. GIants finally score a TD on a long time consuming drive full of mostly running the ball. They run it in for a TD. Giants 7 Bengals 7. Mid 3rd quarter. Maybe the Bengals offense will finally wake up a bit here.
  15. And the Bengals RB inexplicably fumbles the ball after the Bengals got the ball back from stopping the Giants on a 4th and 2. Oof.
  16. As the Giants, why the hell would you go for it on 4th and 2, in your own territory, when you're only down 7 points right at the start of Q3? Dumb.
  17. guess im just not gonna hit on that Jamarr Chase over tonight. Giants pass rush wont even let Burrow throw half the passing snaps hes in.
  18. Giants D- Line is nasty, lot of sacks and pressures.
  19. I think Daniel Jones is a lot better running than he is passing
  20. If the Panthers commited to Bryce for as long as the Giants did to Daniel Jones, I probably wouldve quit my fandom by this point. I hate watching him play and Im not even a Giants fan. I could see the Giants getting Ewers Beck or Sheddur in this coming draft even if they have to trade up.
  21. Might have been the most pathetic play I seen all year. Goodness! Giants secondary is totally over focused on Jamarr Chase. Thats why.
  22. Joe Burrow with a sweet 40+ yard TD Run. Well. With my luck, i need Jamarr Chase to get 76 yards receiving to win a boatload of money. He didnt even get 1 single reception on that long first drive T.T
  23. That's my logic. Either he's not going to want to resign with a shitty team or we're not going to be willing to pay him what he's looking for. Might as well get something for him!!!! 2nd or a 3rd would be great and increase our draft capital from 9 picks to 10 picks in 2025 with with 4 picks in the top 3 rounds...
