Is Minshew any better than Teddy? That screams to me like a Bridgewater signing Trubisky or Darnold would be worse

We should have done that last year but I'm guessing Hurney was trying to save his job (would explain the Whitehead and Weatherly signings as well as Teddy). If we did it might be us with the first pick or at least guaranteed to have one of Lawrence Fields or Wilson

If we had a Superior oline Mac Jones would probably do decent here we already have good weapons .

That's not really surprising given their QB options available otherwise. Problem is his shoulder just shot? I saw him just inexplicably ground several balls last season . They definitely need some more WR talent but Cam needs to improve too . Having a mid round pick isn't that great of a position to be in. Not sure how they are looking cap wise but if they were smart they'd draft a couple wr high and sign a marquee one in free agency . I think their oline is pretty good and RB are solid .

Honestly Id love to have Watson but I wouldn't be happy trading several years worth of draft picks and high profile players for him. Your throwing all your chips in one basket and if you fail you may be screwed for a while . Just wish there was a way to get him on a reasonable deal . Because the signs are pointing to us giving away way too many assets from a REBUILDING team to sell out for a QB . You'll have to hope Fiterrer will be striking gold on those mid to late rounders for years in a row . Because we wouldn't be able to afford Hurney esque post round 1 draft classes because you've got most of your cap and alot of high round picks all given up for Watson already .

Why would you try to heckle a athlete at a public event I'm not sure. Just mind your own business if you got nothing good to say. Especially in the age of social media people still haven't learned anything they say or do is instantly recorded .

Would gladly take either draft. You can replace Wilson and Ellinger with whatever QB the Panthers decide on is their guy . There's some insane value in a trade down not going to lie . Could basically rebuild the whole oline and shore up the rest of the d in one draft . And if you suck again in 2021 then you draft or trade up for a pat mahomes / watson esque prospect with a much better team around them .

Trading a first for him at this point would be incredibly stupid. Trading anything else though and kicking the tires wouldn't be terrible I guess. It's hard to say how much of his woes were due to the Jets organization being inept and how much was him just being a bad QB. I personally don't want any projects like Wentz , Darnold , or Trubisky. I'd rather draft someone or get someone you know is good like Watson. Just docking around with medicore to bad free agents may have us in a perpetual 4-12 to 8-8 seasons until we get a good QB

He's going to be 33 going into next year coming away from a team he didn't do much with in over 10 seasons. No one should be giving up rediculous draft capital for him . I'd probably go no further than a 2nd rounder , 4th rounder , and Teddy . If they ask for more , fuq em. Let someone else overpay

They could all be gone by 8 if detroit drafts a qb which is highly likely . That's Jacksonville, Jets, Falcons, Lions that could pick qbs before us. With Pat's, Vikings, 49ers all wanting to trade up in front of us to get one . If you sit at 8 be prepared to not get any qb and probably go BPA or trade down a few picks

Tampa hasn't had a terrible team overall they've just been in dire need of a good qb for a very long time . Watson would have a similar effect Brady had in Tampa if he were to come to Carolina imo. I don't see us getting to a super bowl immediately though since we're still missing some key pieces on oline and at LB /secondary. But a good draft /FA can patch most of that up .

Were going to have to take some sort of risk either trading up or a big FA trade if you want to win in the near future. Yea you can play the long game and just go bpa in the draft and wait till the right QB drops to you or get him another year . This might eventually work but it'll likely take much longer. Keep in mind the Panthers have had 3 losing seasons in a row and Tepper probably desperately wants to avoid being mired in a 4th consecutive losing effort . Would be really bad for fan interest , sales, and probably start to create a browns-esque losing culture. What is the right path? Both could actually work . But like I said the long path is going to alienate a large portion of your fanbase until you finally get a franchise QB I think the signs are pointing to us making either a blockbuster FA trade to get Watson or Stafford , or a big deal to trade up for Wilson or Fields . I'd be surprised if they play the long game considering how things have been going since 2018. Tepper got his staff in place now all he needs is his franchise QB. Well probably get one shortly
