  1. Coming into the season, Houston's receivers were ranked dead last in the league, and just look at what Stroud has done to elevate their performance. Stroud would have certainly thrived here with our more talented receivers. Also, with Stroud's arm talent, our playbook and play calling would have been a lot different, because unlike Bryce, CJ can play under center and can make accurate throws to all parts of the field. What could have been and what we now have... Boy oh boy, Tepper sure picks them like nobody else can.
  2. This probably means Bryce is our franchise QB, folks. He earned it with his impeccable manners around dinner tables.
  3. It means a lot in the context of rebuking revisionist history. Bryce apologists are fond of declaring that Stroud walked into a better situation in Houston when virtually nobody thought that before the season began. Sorry to break it to those folks, but Stroud is the key to creating a better situation in Houston. He took charge of his own fate and excelled and in the process elevated all those around him. That's what a leader does, and make no mistake about it, Stroud is a leader. Meanwhile, in Charlotte, our super processor with an elastic arm and surrounded by demonstrably better pieces, not only couldn't elevate those around him but arguably has dragged them down to his level. Bryce ain't some blameless victim here. He's the QB of the panthers, not a hapless bystander. His active participation has been a detriment to the team's performance. Bryce the opposite of Stroud. We not only passed on Stroud for Bryce, but we sold the farm to draft him. This is the reality we live in. No amount of revisionist history and excuse making will change that or make it more palatable.
  4. In those situations Bryce should have thrown the ball away. QBs are taught to throw the ball away if there's nothing there. Don't just stand there and take sacks. Throw the ball away, damn it!
  5. Oooooohhh! You'all hearing this? Bryce got MAD after losing to Da Bears in early November. He was MAD!!!!! So what did he do after that game? Did he improve for the rest of the season? NOPE! He scored only three TDs to go with three interceptions in the eight games after losing to Da Bears. That's as stupid of a hot take as I have ever heard. Does Tim Donnelly think we were all born yesterday?
  6. "They also have no first-round pick in the draft and are committed to a quarterback whom some of us would struggle to build around." Good job, Dave and Nicole! Nobody pick them like you do.
  7. It's his fault for eating so many sacks. He sucks at reading defenses and making pre snap adjustments. He can't even do a simple drop back, and his footwork is literally middle school level poo. He also holds onto the ball for too long, and he lacks pocket awareness. He needs to learn to throw away the ball instead of taking sacks.
  8. So you want an offensive line that can hold off the defense for 10 seconds, and if that's not enough time, you want opposing teams' defenders to be dog slow that Bryce has an easy time to evade them and dance in the backfield in order to find a receiver who will get 5 to 10 yards of separation on a regular basis? Basically you're asking us to become the Alabama of the NFL, with us having a far, far, far more talented roster than the rest of the league. Sorry to break it to you, that's never gonna happen. Bryce probably can't even outrun most NFL defensive tackles, so his Steph Curry style will never translate in the NFL. If he can't pass the ball from the pocket, he has no place in the NFL.
  9. Hyperbole much? You made it sound like they threw a high school QB into the NFL expecting him to excel. Oh wait...
  10. A big revisionist nothing burger of an article. FYI, Houston's receivers corps was ranked DEAD LAST by PFF coming into the season. Now folks are Texans have better pieces around Stroud? What are they smoking? Face it, Stroud is the QB of every coach's dreams. He elevates his receivers and helps them reach their full potential, whereas Bryce would make Amari Cooper look like a 6th round pick.
  11. Hire Jesus so he can teach Bryce how to walk on water.
  12. You can draft and sign an all pro line all you want, but if Bryce doesn't learn how to do a proper drop, the line will still end up looking like poo.
  13. I remember there was more to that. People were hyping his S2 score, his super processing ability, his "elastic" arm, and his ability to make throws off platform, etc. The only thing that turned out to be true was his S2 score. Unfortunately, they don't play S2 in the NFL.
  14. They're way too tall, and what are their S2 scores?
  15. Nah, Bryce is trash. Good quarterbacks elevate those around him. Bryce has until the end of next season to show he's worth keeping. If not, cut bait.
  16. He couldn't overcome his desire to leave for a better organization. He never wanted to be here, didn't want to stay here, but I'm glad he's finding success after bouncing around the league.
  17. Tell them we have music in Charlotte, thanks to Tepper.
  18. If I had to choose between the two? I'd choose the one with by far the less annoying, delusional, and excuse making fanbase. That's just me, but that boat has sailed.
  19. Does it matter? We are stuck with Bryce.
  20. The NFL dropped this video just in time.
