If I am Rhule (abandon ship)

Rhule leaving for Michigan is a good way out for Tepper to not admit a hiring mistake . Allow Fitts to take control to find a new head coach and any other positions that follow Rhule . Tepper will save a butt load of money not paying Rhule the rest of his contract . Rhule will take the first college job knowing his job is under fire with the Panthers Rhule was a Hurney hire which was another mistake .

Mcadoo and Fitts made this hire happen . He had to connection to Rhule . We now need a D-line coach . Let Campen evaluate our O-line and let him tell Fitts what we need to improve .

It took several years before Michael Jordan found the right GM and coach to get the Hornets looking like a team that can make the playoffs . They are young and fun to watch . Tepper is new to being an owner but he is not dumb . He sees what we are seeing . Give him a little time and things will work out .

See what offers are made before deciding to let CMC go . Play him in the slot most of the game and maybe at RB in red zone situations . Let Abdullah and our other RBs take the pounding .

Cam will not get an offer anywhere else so he will either take a friendly deal or go back to the couch . Darnold is here because of his contract . A new coach will cut Walker . If we can do a good trade down in the first to around number 15 and get a 2nd or 3rd round pick we could get a QB and an O-line player . We then go O-line again in the 4th . Hopefully we get a good comp pick also .

Take the top LT in the draft or trade down a little for extra pics . Only take a QB if you are certain he is the franchise QB . Trade a CB to a team of need for a pic or vet O-line player . Keep Cam if he gives a team friendly deal . Trade PJ Walker if possible and let Jackson walk . Move CMC to the slot . Move Chinn back to LB or CB . Keep Fits and find a new coach .

Allow Rhule to finish the season . If we lose all the games our draft pick moves up . It gives Fits time to do a thorough coach search . A win win

While not ruling out a QB pick with our first pick , what if Cam plays well for the rest of our season . This could allow Fits to trade down in the first round to a lower first round pick . This would give us an extra pick in perhaps a lower 2nd or higher 3rd round pick . This would give us the choice of a quality player that drops in the first ( a QB or OL player ) and maybe another day one pick . He could also trade down in the first for a lower first round pick and maybe a player of need . 1. Lower first round , a lower 2nd or higher 3rd round pick 2. The writing was on the wall for Brady . When Rhule stated that we were going to be a run first team and Brady did not get the message , he was in trouble . During the press conference Rhule stated that he would evaluate the players and coaches . Brady was sent packing . We will see if this makes a difference or not . Fitts will be looking for a new OC and perhaps a new head coach if the team does not start to look improved .

Keep Cam if we can get a team friendly deal . Sam and Walker for backup duty . Draft heavy on O-line . Offer Gilmore and Riddick a contract . Let Jackson and Paradis walk . Move CMC to slot WR . Ameer and Chubb handle RD duties . Search for a new OC . Only look at a QB if one we want falls in our lap .

O-Line ?

I think Fits might be looking at the situation and checking out the candidates . If Rhule leaves his contract is void . We would need a replacement before the draft and also looking at who to let walk and who to extend . Maybe Cam would offer a friendly deal and then we would have two QBs under contract next year . Fits needs to build the 0-line and that will improve our team . The D can stand pat ,but try to keep Gilmore and let Jackson walk .

Fitts has been in the league a long time . Tepper should ask him what does he thing the problem is . He should ask him if Brady is the problem and who should replace him . Get on the phone and bring that person in during the bye week . This would let Rhule know he is next and to get control of the team . If Rhule is the problem , then start the recruiting process now . This would get a jump start on other teams looking for a head coach . Either way we all know this team is better than their record .
