  1. Hard for me to see Hill making the team over Garrett. I'm not sold on Cash, either. Doesn't look like an NFL player to me. But I've been wrong before. Can't remember when, but I'm sure it happened.
  2. Well, that's why I said "not many." Greg Hardy was no Steve Smith.
  3. I don't think I'm being technical. It's what happened. Not many guys in the history of the Panthers have put themselves in the scenarios that Hardy did. He only has himself to blame for no longer being a Panther.
  4. Again, I could be wrong, but I believe Cassell signed his tender and then got traded. Either way, a trade does not equal getting signed to an offer sheet and the original team declining to match.
  5. Has any team ever signed a non-exclusive franchise tendered player to a deal and not had to give up two first rounders? I can't remember any. Not impossible I'm wrong, though...
  6. Greg Hardy put himself in that position. No one did that to him. I don't see Thomas Davis putting himself in that position. Greg Hardy's life decisions got him where he is today.
  7. Make no mistake. The only fault with anything Panthers/Hardy related lies squarely on the shoulders of Greg Hardy.
  8. Would anyone here be satisfied if someone else signed him to a long-term deal and we settled for the two first round picks? Edit: I should answer my own question, I guess. If Josh could get the money he wants and we could get two firsts, I think I'd be okay with it. Tough to lose a talent like him, but that's life. And he won't get franchised again. I'd rather get something for him than just a potential compensatory pick.
  9. Any chance you have some pics of him in his rookie camp vs the Super Bowl? From what I can tell, he's literally grown into this role. His weight on nfl.com only lists his as two pounds heavier this year than 2014, but I don't believe it. Funchess is another guy who is really going to benefit from world class weight room and trainers.
  10. Five hour flight to SFO on Saturday. This is in contention. Downloaded the first season of The Wire, also. Never seen it. I can't just drink for five hours... Can I?
  11. I've never read the Campbell book, but it sounds kind of like The Star Rover, which features one man remembering his past lives, which may or may not have inspired the Jimmy Webb song Highwayman. Is it Sunday yet?
  12. I'd been seeing these on Twitter all day and I still just read through twenty pages of posts. Love this.
  13. I think the AFC will be the home team in the Super Bowl. So, if we make it, I'd expect the AFC to wear their color and we would continue to wear white.
  14. I'm not going to scroll through 35 pages of posts, so sue me if this has already been said: Kevin Greene was 34 when he came to the Panthers. Allen is 33. I see a lot of similarity, so my hope is this works out as well as that did, even if it's just for a year or two.
  15. More nonsense from the Texans message board: "The odds makers think (maybe know) that Hoyer is the starter, or they would have us as the favs."
  16. Big fan of Luke. This would look great in my boys' room next to their Luke fathead.
  17. yeah, i edited. i have to think lucas is involved in the final 53. not sure about norwood now, though.
  18. They must have their sights set on a FA WR. I personally don't think Bersin was outside the top five, so maybe they're keeping four and bringing in someone else. Or they're keeping four TEs and four WRs, with Lucas being one of the TEs. Brown, Ginn, Cotchery, Funchess Olsen, Dickson, Brockel, Lucas edit: doh, forgot funchess. with this theory, norwood would be cut. maybe that won't happen after all.
  19. If I had to predict one surprise cut, it would be Silatolu. Think we could roll the dice with just about anyone else with a bigger upside and a healthier resume. UFA after this season.
  20. This is like the Zapruder tape. If you watch their feet, and the flag on the ground, it looks like Oher keeps Alexander pretty north-south, running back in a straight line until he's out of the play. The pictures later in the thread seem to back it up. I think Oher does a nice job here.
