If you want to get the #1 pick from the Bears, what's your move?
Knaakedup replied to EgoDogg's topic in Carolina Panthers
We are in a never-ending circle jerk of thinking we are way better than we are and should never leverage a lot of picks for one player. I have a rude awakening for you - 3 or 4 probably means we miss both Young or Stroud and we are back in the same repetitive cycle of wondering why we're always hovering around .500 at best (yes, I know you can't get to exactly .500 anymore). We. Go. Nowhere. Without. Franchise. QB. I do not understand how half this board continues to become disillusioned to that. Do whatever we must in order to get that QB and everything will start trending in the right direction. -
Well, it could be bold and smart. Bold with Rhule had disaster written all over it as soon as he opened his mouth. I wouldn’t let that stop us from continuing to find a real solution for the QB.
-
All the picks was a bit much, it was an exaggeration. However, all you guys keep making this more difficult than it needs to be. Until the QB situation is fixed, we're going nooooowhere. It's the KISS principle - keep it simple stupid. Fix the QB situation first and the rest will fall into place.

Jesus Christ on a motorbike, thank god you’re not our GM. This is other exact opposite of what needs to be done. what is the disconnect between our fanbase and the understanding of how wildly important it is to acquire a competent QB through the draft?!?! IDGAF if we ship all our picks up to the Bears to get Stroud. Makes no difference at all if we continue to ignore the most important piece of the roster while stacking elite talent to not be used properly.
-
Raiders have a very good chance of beating the Titans on Saturday. Stidham and Purdy made my mind explode yesterday. Those two looked like world beaters. If Raiders can get that win, we at least get back to 8.
-
Have you watched Stroud at all this season? Genuinely curious. Lance isn’t even in the same stratosphere. by eyeball test I also include the clutch part of elite talent to make poo happen when the other side knows you’re the only one to make poo happen.
-
Stroud passed the eyeball test by a mile yesterday. He’s our only realistic shot in the draft that we could put in day 1.
-
The problematic part is status quo, continuing to dumpster dive for reclamation projects. Can’t be scared to take a shot on someone. If not, we stay where we are for the foreseeable future.
-
Not too much at all when you could potentially get a franchise QB.
-
Yeah, what he could’ve controlled was leaving Wentz where he belongs - the bench. Benching Heinicke after Heinicke took the team this far was unbelievable. He should be fired for that.
-
People poo all over me when I brought this up, but Reddick is twice the end that Burns is. Not giving Burns up for the Rams 2nd this year and then consecutive 1st’s is a fireable offense for Fit.
-
Completely agree. This is where the resemblance between him and ‘Ole Ron showed itself. That conservative poo doesn’t get you anything but .500 year after year.
-
To be fair, trading CMC was the smartest thing he’s done since he’s been here. The haul we got for him allows us to even have a chance in this draft to move around.

So next week’s game against the Bucs is definitely rigged, right?
Knaakedup replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Even if we beat them I don’t think they’re eliminated. We need to string together back to back wins to get in and I struggle seeing that happening with how bipolar we are. With how dominant we were last week, history says we will poo the bed this week. -
I live in Colorado, so I have had the Sunday ticket app forever. You used to be required to have Direct TV in order to get it UNLESS you had a place that the HOA or landlord did not allow satellites. I would have rather been forced to dig my eyeballs out with a spork than have that shitty Direct TV service again. Used an old address that didn't allow satellites and have been able to run with it since 2017 with no issues. Now onto the actual service - fug DIRECT TV. Their app is garbage and unreliable. I would LOVE to have the option to just pay for the Panthers, but greedy people gonna be greedy. The service through Youtube TV or Amazon will be far superior and make the viewing experience a million times better for anyone who lives out of state. TLDR: Direct TV is ass chum and needs to be taken out to the pasture like old yeller. Next year will be so much better for everyone when it comes to watching games out of market.

Well thought out response, brah.

You're delusional, but such is your right. Brian Burns? The one we should've traded for the Rams 2nd this year and following two 1st's? DJ Moore? The one we should've traded for the Packers 1st this year? You seem to drink the juice everyone spews about them because they are our players that we drafted. Reddick was 10x the DE Burns is and DJ still isn't a bonafide #1, never will be. Based on your mentality you only view things in the present and are incapable of expanding your view to understand how we are in no position to compete this year and any more wins 1000% affects our ability to rebuild properly in the future. Everyone wants to sit on their soapbox preaching this week after a meaningless win, but wait til we come crashing back to earth next week. I'll make sure to remind you of this then and next season when we aren't in a position to compete yet again.
-
Sure thing, guy. I don't see why a "mature football fan" doesn't grasp how winning these meaningless games are detrimental to the team in the long run.

You think Foreman is in the same ball park as Jacobs? You think Sam is in the same tier as Carr? Share whatever you’re smoking with the rest of us

Panthers +3 and ill bet you $100

Not gonna happen. SEA is gonna smoke us.
