  1. ... but did he though? I don't recall Rhule ever throwing Sam under the bus, especially highlighting a fumble that wasn't even Cam's fault. Maybe I feel protective over Cam in a weird fatherly way, but after every crappy Sam game with multiple turnovers I can't recall a week where Rhule went out of his way at multiple different pressers to highlight how bad Sam did.
  2. I saw it on twitter, but he basically won't stop throwing Cam under the bus.
  3. I think it’s pretty clear that Rhule has some sort of disdain for Cam. Not exactly sure what it is, could be a multitude of reasons but him throwing him under the bus today genuinely made me dislike him as a person. Cam keeping quiet besides discussing his own play and his faults speaks volumes about the character Cam has vs Rhule, who hasn’t owned any responsibility for anything since he’s been here. I despise Rhule. And I have a feeling the members of the team that aren’t tied to Baylor in any way feel the same.
  4. He is in way over his head. With Brady gone, lets just go ahead and clear this coaching staff out and start fresh… again.
  5. Not a chance in hell that Darnold is on this team next year or takes another snap in a panthers uniform.
  6. This is an embarrassment. Coaching staff continue to flail and shuffle things in panic mode mid game. From play design, to personnel decisions, there is no fixing this. Send them packing!
  7. These posts that glorify him rub me the wrong way a bit. I have no doubt that he is an amazing man in his personal life and someone that is an asset to every community/charity that he is involved with and hell, what a champion for beating cancer. That being said... the guy is a horrible head coach. The ONLY reason he won awards and is still a head coach in this league is strictly because of Cam. Cam did all of the things he did here (including 2015) in spite of Ron and the other coaches, not because of Ron and co. Between his complete inability to make any halftime adjustments whatsoever, excessive loyalty to vets who are way beyond their prime, he's overall a great guy but a terrible, terrible coach.
  8. To play devils advocate here, this almost works out better. Would you rather be 8-2 with Cam after 10 games worth of physical play, maybe some bumps and minor injuries? Or would you take where we are at this exact moment with Cam fresh as a cucumber ready to come in and take on the world? Not only that but a lot of the current top teams seem to have peaked early and are coming back down. It feels like with the return of a healthy CMC and a 100% Cam we are doing our season in reverse, getting healthy and hot at the right time.
  9. If the Giants can sneak in with a weak record and take down the undefeated Pats, there's no reason we cant do the same. This defense (when provided with an offense that does something other than turn it over) is something special. Got a weird feeling about this, too many things lining up for a special run with the cherry on top being the return of Superman. If the stars aligning like this with this type of defense doesn't turn into something special I gotta get into soccer or something else bc I will be left with a severe case of PTSD.
  10. F that. Let's ruin Dallas in the WC round again.
  11. I'm on board with the hat tip to Snow, but let's be honest here... if it was up to Rhule, we'd still be trotting out Sam. His hand got forced due to his stubbornness.
  12. No. Let's pray we never see the man with initials S.D. in a Panthers uniform ever again.
  13. This is depressingly accurate
  14. It’s just so infuriating when the answer to so many questions was right there for us and instead our genius coach thought he was smarter than everyone. Message board fans should never be proven to make more logical and successful decisions than an NFL head coach and staff… yet here we are.
  15. Watching Fields tonight just really pours salt into the open wounds. The logical choice in last years draft. There for the taking, and we take a luxury CB. This is a total and complete disaster, and the real rebuild hasn’t even started yet. We take fields and even if we’re sitting at 1-7, if he looked like he did tonight, we’re all feeling ok with it. Go heavy in the draft on OL and man, we are all set for the next 5 years. Instead, we are as directionless as a rudderless boat with Sam Darnold as our QB. Sickening.
  16. I don’t think this is an overreaction at all, he’s gotta get cut after this. They cannot trot him back out there next week and expect the team or fans to respond well. admit your mistake with making some personnel moves and calm people down.
  17. My sentiments exactly. Who’s even going to get the ball to him? Adding WRs to this dumpster fire isn’t going to fix anything.
  18. I would have to say that you clearly have not met the man. Smith is an angel of a human. My sister was a higher up with the Ravens during his time there and I was fortunate enough to get a few FaceTimes with him. The guy is absolutely one of the best men off the field you will ever meet. That being said, he does not mince words and will verbally drag your ass if he has a reason for it.
  19. This just seems like posturing by both sides to me trying to get someone to budge a bit leading up to the 2nd. The truth in all of this is probably somewhere in the middle. I’m 50/50 on this happening before the deadline. I think Tepper wants it to happen but they’re trying to limit more damage being done considering what we’ve given away for castoff players.
  20. Not only is that a poor hill to die on, but when was the last time any of those guy’s singlehandedly won us a game? Exactly. A franchise QB does that for us.
  21. 1000% agree there. But again, this staff has sent out Teddy B and then Sam sooooo
  22. That’s fair. But again, I would be on board with that if it seemed like things were headed in the right direction. Things have gone horribly backwards and it’s probably time to cut our losses.
