I get that, but at the same time... I am so happy to have a QB with some attitude and personality other than "corporate talk". We've only had a few here since the teams inception. Smitty, Norman, Cam, prob a few I'm forgetting. About time we had someone that actually wanted to fug other teams up

This might have been brought up before, but I remember looking last year and there were none. Went looking again today for a white Mayfield jersey and there is none. Only a few white ones for a few players. Anyone have any insight into why the white ones are so hard to get?? Or when we could expect them to be replenished??

Great video. Just learned a lot about the guy and hard to find anything to nitpick about. Didn’t realize he never even had a scholarship, let alone an offer! Wild stuff. Hope he turns into our version of Brees in that Brees/Culpepper situation.

Watching Likely and Huntley makes me realize just how far we have to go as a team. Huntley is a better qb than all of ours combined and they got Likely in the 4th?!?!!? Man, their ability to scout talent is off the charts and we seem allergic to it.

Completely agree. He hasn’t passed the eye test thus far. You can usually see the future stars showcase something that signals that they might be “the guy”. Sure, Rhule and co haven’t given him a ton of chances, but the kid has played his whole life. His natural abilities that lead him to getting drafted should be able to be showcased without months of coddling.

That is such an insignificant part of what I said. What teams are playing starters and what teams aren't makes no difference to me. You chose to ignore all the other very valid points I made about our coach who rides the line of being on the spectrum.
-
Exactly, they came out, looked sharp, and that was all they needed to see. We have yet to have a series from anyone that looks that way. But we keep wasting chances with people who aren't even going to be on the team in a week.
-
Oh, really? Please enlighten me then because that is exactly what it appears like with these two eyeballs. I don't care if theres a few select teams with their incumbent, proven starters that aren't playing. We are not in that situation. Baker and the 1's should have been out there for the 1st quarter at least to show they got things running smoothly. Through the 2nd if things were rough. This constant game of flipping around players and inserting people here to try formation X should have been hammered out weeks ago. We look like idiots because we have an idiot captaining this ship. He does not know what he's doing. He has not known what he's doing since he got here, yet here he is. His "process" has basically been a complete reset every single year. If part of his great "plan" was to re-evaluate every part of his staff and QBs on a yearly basis this shows me 2 things - 1 - HE HAS NO PROCESS 2 - If he does, then its terrible and he should be fired because we are in no better situation than the day he got here.

Rhule is such a buffoon. The game that every other legit contender treats as a dress rehearsal and is fine tuning things - he trots out PJ to start. He has zero clue what he’s doing besides going against the norm on everything to appear smart.
-
Nah man. It’s known that he will fail if given enough time. This whole rotation nonsense is detrimental to everyone else who will actually be playing this year.

Zappe looks light years ahead of Corral

Honestly… I’ll take anyone over watching Sam suit up in my teams gear week 1. I could care less about the financials of it, not my money, not my problem. If Sam is actually the starting QB week 1, I can’t think of a season in memory (maybe the Clausen year) that I’ll be going into it less involved and engaged in the upcoming season. Just get that bum out of here.
-
Nah, not even remotely close. We know Sam sucks and there’s no reason to put anymore time into him. Let’s see if Corral has more between the ears than Sam and lets see what we got in him now, not later. Get him ready asap and lets see if we can build around him or we need to take another QB next year.
-
Oh, how quickly people forget about how his season with us went last year. Not once did we see him on the sidelines gathering up his teammates to pull everyone together like Cam did immediately upon return. He cried with his helmet on after throwing an int. His entire demeanor says “meh” and he’s been coached his whole life on how to answer questions as to not raise any red flags. Zero fire, zero passion, dude is a scrub who blindly walked backwards into consecutive paydays and is set for life.
-
There’s nothing to compete for here. Sam is no good. That’s just a fact. And lets say that for one season we draw blood from a stone and make Sam into what he isn’t - a competent QB. That means that in order for us to do so, we had to create an absolutely perfect environment for him to succeed, which is not sustainable.
-
WHY?? Why should we waste any more of our time with the Sam experiment? I hate to break it to you, but he is who he is and who he has been forever. He will never consistently be good. That process you are talking about means we watch him for 6 more weeks do exactly what he did last year for us, the previous years at the Jets, and in college. As a fan, I never want to see that guy in a panthers jersey ever again, under any circumstance.
-
Completely agree with you on everything minus Fitz. There is zero benefit to trotting Sam out there week 1, and I do not care in the slightest how much we are on the hook for to him. He is in the Sam Bradford realm of being able to get rich off of doing very little. I think back to the Cardinals and Rosen. They put him out there, he stunk up the joint, they moved on immediately. Now that we have a decent OL, why should we waste any of this new talent on someone with zero talent (Darnold). We should be in the discovery phase of things immediately to see what we have that will stick and we can build around before some of the cornerstones reach the end of their contracts or age themselves out of being the impact player they are at the moment. If you want to be an NFL QB, lets see what ya got, kid.

Rhule is down in Florida at some coaching seminar showing off his DBO sign. He hasn’t had a single thing to do with any of today.
-
Absolutely not. He is Teddy B in a different outfit. Swallow your pride and take this very embarrassing lump and just know next year is a wash.
-
Guys, this is clearly over. The level of embarrassment as a Panthers fan is bag over head worthy. To be out in the public eye for the last year and a half openly chasing this dude only for him to choose divisional opponents that weren't even in the mix until the last second is soooooo bad on so many levels. We look like the biggest boat of losers that the NFL has ever seen right now. Between doubling down on Rhule, hiring the bum ass coaches to support him (McAdoo), giving up all sorts of assets for terrible players (Darnold), I just can't even process or wrap my head around how bad this is. All time low as a Panthers fan. And, we get to get curb stomped twice a year by D4 in either a Falcons or Saints jersey while we flounder around with overpaid backup QBs and trade-able players with value that we hold onto until they no longer have value. This is going to take so many years to right this ship. At least Clausen brought us Cam, there is no light at the end of the tunnel in sight here..

10000%. The entire thing has been fishy since the jump. Timing, the connections, all of it. Not saying he isn’t into some weird stuff but it doesn’t make him a monster or a rapist. This was their chance to lay out their proof that something illegal had occurred and they failed to do so. Bring on a real QB and let’s get back to winning.

Honest question.. and don’t be discouraged, now is the time to own it and lay down the foundation for a better version of “you”… but… are you high?
