gettles has to be keeping an eye on the waiver wire for veteran camp cuts. i also can't help but wonder if williams or remmers might be worth a damn at LT, which would be useful considering either one of them could probably start at RT.

Panthers Training Camp Notes and Photos - Day 2
PhillyB replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
coleman has kind of become the forgotten man of our free agent acquisitions. it'd be great to see him be able to contribute. -
far far away

oher stoned him. despite that initial burst oher fought through the acceleration and drove him around the edge of the pocket, past invisible cam. bell couldn't do that against anyone.

we'll miss that blazing speed

i do miss that ochre disc appearing at the bottom right of my screen as i scrolled down. i always knew i was about to read some funny ass poo the instant it registered with my firing synapses.

maddest i have ever been at any single moment during a panthers game. even madder than nakamura's cover zero against roddy white in 2012. i should have died of a brain aneurysm that night.

Seahawks offer Wilson $21M/year but Wilson wants more
PhillyB replied to pantherking15's topic in Carolina Panthers
they won't be able to pay everyone that makes that team look so good. part of their success has been in only having to pay chump change to their quarterback and spread those millions elsewhere. -

that roster is going to collapse if he gets paid anything north of 20m. -
2012 was the longest for me.

as someone who's worked coaching/developing kids in athletics for years, i can tell you i've never seen kids above six years old get hyped up about a participation trophy. they're no substitute for winning. but they do reward younger kids who are often in massive groups of 20-30 and have a much smaller chance of getting something out of the experience, and it often excites and encourages them to keep at it. but the participation trophy yammering almost invariably comes from fat forty-year-olds with crew cuts who couldn't win a game of cornhole, so i tend to ignore it

How the Panthers spend: Defensive tackles
PhillyB replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
christ people, we just drafted two defensive tackles. in 2013. it's only 2015. we are not drafting more defensive tackles next year, not high-round ones, not to replace star and kk. i don't understand how the which-one-of-them-is-sure-to-go?! clucking has spread so memetically around here in the past couple of months. -

cam's cap-friendly deal and something fair for luke, along with clearing CJ's cap hit and getting out under the last of the hurney albatrosses, will leave plenty of room for deals for these guys. unless one of them decides to get greedy and hold out i don't see any way either of them leave. -
I dont know how i should feel about this...
PhillyB replied to UpstatePanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
it's right at a 50/50 split, though the liberal posters have been more active lately. -

right, it's a very, very, very small minority, and as much as i think nationalism is dumb there's simply no comparison to be made between this nation's flag and either the redskins name or the confederate flag. again, it's a horrendous, intellectually lazy logical fallacy. -

here, everyone read this hilarious list of logical fallacies in NFL football form.
